I already made a let's play of this game a few months ago. At first I intended that to be the end of Geralt's journey untill the third expansion(Songs of the Past) will be released. But after that CD PROJEKT RED decided to release a remastered version of this game. That changed my plans completely. So here I am replaying my favorite game again. This time on new game+. But I don't want to make the same let's play again so this time I intend to change a few things. In my original let's play of the Witcher 3 I was making the decisions as myself(the player) and also I was not using photo mode. So this time I will try to roleplay as a Geralt and see if his choices would be different than mine. And also I will be taking a lot of photos with photo mode. So hopefully some of the images I post will look a lot better. Still for some reason I am not able to take photos with photo mode during cutscenes even after getting a mod that should have allowed to do that. So I may be foeced to take regular screenshots with OBS during the cutscenes...
I am Geralt of Rivia. I am not a hero. Marely a mutant- a witcher. I slay monsters because that was what I made to do. Yet many people believe that am a monster as well. I am not trying to save the world. I simply want to protect a few people I care about in this ugly and rotten world. I don't care about politics but I often step into that mess without regardless.
This adventure of mine began shortly after I fully recovered my memory. I teamed up with my witcher mentor Vesemir and started looking for the love of my life-Yen. She sent as a letter saying that we should meet in a certain village. But it was destroyed by one of the warring armies. So our meeting with Yen has been delayed and for now we can only follow her trail. During the search one night I had a dream. A mixture of the past and fantasy. I dreamed obout my home -Witcher's keep called Kaer Morhen. There I spent some time with Yen. And then I went to train with my and Yen's adopted daughter Ciri. Soon after The Wild Hunt(elves from another world) appeared and attacked Ciri while I was not able to move.
Once I woke up I told about dream to Vesemir we were attacked by a few ghouls. After we slew them I and Vesemir started riding our horses towards a stunning sun of the dawn. Soon after that we heard a man screaming for help. It turned out that this merchant was attacked by a griffin . We managed to drive it away- griffin grabbed a merchant's horse and flew away. Then the merchant heard my conversation with Vesemir about Yen and suggested that we may learn something in the nearby inn.
The innkeeper had no information about Yen but the inn had some guests so I started quesioning one suspicious looking person. He introduced himself as Gaunter O'Dimm(or Master Mirror). This shady character told that Yen contacted local nilfgaardian (the empire that invaded these lands)commander. O'Dimm also said that one day he may also need my favor. And then he disappeared without the trace.
