It has FINALLY happened, we have rain! It was just a small band that rolled through in the morning yesterday but it is moisture from the sky.
My barn spider was actually NOT in the middle of her web like she is right now, she was hunkered up against the bracket I have holding the thermometer.
The first volley of rain for the day hit about 7:30am.
I got J to school then R and I headed to town.
He strained a muscle that we wanted to ensure wasn't a hernia of some kind. It's occasional pain and not constant so he has to be careful what he does during the day doesn't aggravate it more.
Got him to school then mid morning I was in the garden and got some produce from the greenhouse. The cooler temps have reduced the hyper growth to just normal growth.
Mid day I was up the hill to hike the fence line. You can see just how dry everything still is, until this morning after the overnight rains.

The aloe plant on the deck has had a really dense spider web funnel tunnel on it for a while and the spider likes to sit in the mouth.
The potatoes are getting dug more and I got another load of them piled into the wheelbarrow.
Washed them by the deck and then they got another washing in the rains.
@stryeyz got home and R and I jumped in the car so we could pick J up after practice then drive across the campus to the high school where the athletics kick off event was taking place. Pizza first then the meeting in the gym. The speaker could give his presentation to every parent about proper support for kids. NOT being focused on only winning, better supporting their decisions and effort in sports.
Rain is just stopping now after nearly a 1/4 inch fell over night. Boys to school soon, then I have to go see about a large branch that has fallen at a client's, Will try for a ride to test out the new front tire for my bike, Art will be stopping by on his way home from Spokane early afternoon, will get J after practice, and figure out dinner this evening.
