Yesterday morning was quite warm compared to the 38F this morning which looks to be more the norm in the forecast now. Much of my day was spent trying to cleanup around the house. Walking back in from getting the mail I checked out the fungus that have loved the rains. The puffballs are growing along and in the driveway, for some reason the mycelium has grown more were there is more gravel.
But these massive ones are growing closer to the sheep pen which has had a variety of different fungus grow in it. So much to feed on in the ground it would be really amazing to see them all growing like in a petri-dish growing cultures and they all bump up against one another. Do the various myceliums intertwine or do they create boundary areas between them?
The PDC world cup is ongoing and I had the matches on during the mid day. I got the shelf made for the medicine cabinet, I had the perfect pieces to cut down to size.
It was a slow going process to empty the bins that had been stacked on the patio but I got some cleanup done. Old toys and such went to a big bag which emptied bins. The masses of paper from the boys' rooms got run through and then stuffed into a big box in the wood pile. It was a bit absurd just how much there is with everything they brought home from school. Still lots more to move but it is getting cleaner.
The potatoes got taken down to studio A for storage in the consistent temp and darkness.
We had our session in the evening then went out to eat at Red Robin after. I should have saved half for today as my stomach wasn't happy overnight.
Will get the boys to school in a bit, have to harvest in the greenhouse, will go on a mellow bike ride to get some miles in, PDC continues, more cleaning around the house and piling for eventual dump run, then J has his cross country meet at their school so nice and close.
