We finally have managed some rain yesterday and it was just moving off when I woke up.
Nearly 1/4" overnight. Which we desperately need.
My spider is back in the middle of her web much more often.
At 9am I headed to a client's to see about a tree limb. It is well beyond what I am capable of doing in an easy safe means.
The tree calved off and the base is still attached to the tree with the bulk of it in the neighbor's yard.
With it in such a spot I don't feel comfortable trying to remove it as it would take me hours and hours to support, then cut, then haul off at least 5 trailer loads.
Access is shit as well so he will have to call a tree service. I am not wanting to push things and with the tree in the neighbor's yard it will be far faster and easier for a crew to come out and chip it all as they cut it up.
Once back I headed out for a bike ride to test out the new front tire.
It was a cooler ride and the clouds were pretty cool looking all around. No smoke now which is another wonderful part of the storms and rains.
Art stopped by on his way back north and hung out for a couple hours. It is truly amazing how well he has healed up. He is now a part of Washington state medical lore as even the west side is keeping tabs on his recovery. Very few if anyone can survive a 70 foot fall let alone be back up and moving in such good shape as he is in 5 months.
I got the potatoes bagged that were in the wheelbarrow and have amassed over 100 pounds so far with more to dig yet.
R fell asleep on the couch in a rather quick manner. He did get stung by a yellow jacket earlier at school so I chalked it up to he needed a refresh.
Went to the group ride this morning where we flushed a buck which ran across the road and got hit by a car. The car did not stop and the buck got up and ran off across the field. It happened about 50 feet in front of us as we climbed Colbert road hill. Will go to our couple's session this morning then to lunch after, boys are off school, it is trying to rain a bit more, I have to install a vacuum break on my client's irrigation system on the way home from the session, and then work around the farm and then figure out dinner this evening.
