Hello, street art friends! As usual, I’ve got a new discovery for you, and this time it’s in my city, Barquisimeto, where the second edition of Cuidad Mural took place an artistic and cultural project taking place in various cities across Venezuela, aiming to use murals to depict stories, landscapes and figures from our country, showcasing them in a different light – this time through colour and on the walls of our country’s main streets
For me, it’s been wonderful to learn more about our roots through this project, which has taught me so much about things and figures I was previously unaware of – such as the one I’m sharing with you today
Barquisimeto
The Venezuelan artist @Yumi.arte has created an interesting mural on this wall that reflects culture, history and ancestral symbols, bringing together all the main elements of our indigenous ancestors in a single composition.
The bow and arrow form a central part of this work, as do the pre-Hispanic symbols we can see there, which truly convey the resilience and dignity of our indigenous people who staunchly defended their lands with their bows.
A mural that truly represents our history.
Well, friends, with nothing more to add, I hope you’ve enjoyed this brief but beautiful post I’ve shared with you today.
