A rainy sunday morning in the park

After many warm and sunny days (too warm for the time of the year), autumn is arriving. The last few days we had some more rain, lower temperatures and stronger winds. Still not enough rain for the dry months we had until now. Despite the rain, cold and wind, I still think autumn is a beautiful time of the year. i really like the changes in nature with the changing colors of the trees and all the fungi that popup everywhere (although I haven't seen many fungi on my walk today).

This Sunday morning, I decided to go for a short walk in a nearby park. We are expecting visitors later today, so we will probably spend most of the rest of the day indoors. That is why I tried to find some time between the showers for a short walk to get some movement and fresh air.

The puddles on the path show just how much rain we recently had. It's good that I didn't wear my Sunday shoes 😂. I'm often trying to look for reflections since it can make some nice shots. I like this one of reflection of the trees in the puddle, surrounded with some fallen leaves. It really has the autumn vibes. schelpenpad.png

The park has a lot of small paths, but also one wide avenue. The past is made of crushed shells and has large trees on both sides. It has something noble about it. Like a driveway leading up to a castle, only without the castle. As you can see, most of the trees are still green, but also a lot of leaves have already fallen. I think it won't be long before the color of the leaves will start to change. We already see it on some trees.

This music pavilion stands beside the pond in the park. During summer evenings, concerts are held here. And during the day it is often used by yoga or other gym classes. But in autumn and winter it is abandoned.

Throughout the park there are many ditches. Most of them have simple wooden plank bridges. But there is also this stone bridge. I don't know why they made this bridge made of bricks specifically over here. But it does look nice in the landscape I think..

In tropical forests, you often see lianas and other climbing plants growing around trees. Here in the Netherlands, you see this quite that often. But in this park there are a few trees that are overgrown with climbing plants too. I always find it an interesting sight,

The most fascinating thing about autumn is its honesty. It is the only season that doesn't disguise the passage of time: it displays it in every falling leaf, in every fading tone. While spring promises and summer dazzles, autumn undresses without asking for forgiveness. And in that stripping away there is a strange beauty: the beauty of knowing that everything ends, but that ending can also be beautiful. It is the season that teaches us that letting go is not losing, but preparing to bloom again.😌

Good call on leaving the Sunday shoes at home with those puddles around

Autumn is such a beautiful season—especially with the way the leaves on the trees change color. It’s also a lovely place for a walk; I really like the view and the trees—it feels so peaceful here. 😍

  • "First of all, the photos are wonderful and attractive, and there is a clear effort made to capture the most beautiful shots in the finest way. The comments about nature suited me perfectly, as I am also a lover of the autumn season and its colors. As for the last shot and the talk about the braided-shaped tree, it was highly enjoyable to me."

  • Hey what an awesome stroll!

I thought I was the only one who likes to pause and enjoy a good path! Well, the dog does obviously. Fall has arrived here in Canada 🇨🇦 with a fury. Still sunny and 18 here during the days so plenty of mild walking before the long winter.

Thanks for taking us on a walk with you in the beautify Netherlands 🇳🇱

  • Excellent post with nature photography. The photo shows a short walk before receiving guests. The photos of the puddle reflecting the trees, surrounded by fallen leaves, are my favorite. The photo of the tree-lined avenue is also very beautiful; it feels like walking through nature. I also really like autumn, especially for the colors the trees take on and the special atmosphere it creates after the rain. The only season I don't like is winter, but I know it's necessary. !WINE

Although we don't have the autumn season here in the Philippines, I've been able to see its beauty through the videos and photos shared by my relatives, family members, and friends who live abroad. Of all the seasons they document and share on Facebook, autumn is my favorite. I really love how the colors of the leaves change into beautiful shades of red, orange, yellow, and brown. It's such a lovely sight to see!

By the way, I also love the canopy of trees. Imagine taking a stroll under those trees early in the morning. It is such a refreshing and peaceful experience, although I guess it could be quite cold too!
