A [Brain] Dump

It's the weekend, whew!

Unlike most days (which were rainy), this morning is showing a bit of brightness, so yay! My soul is quite pleased. August is one hell of a wet month, but we are getting through it gracefully. We do get depressed (monsoon blues) at times, longing for some respite. However, we are not allowing the weather to control us. While we had plenty of lazy days, we remained mostly mobile and active.

Yesterday, we drove to the other town for several errands. Here's a glimpse of the valley blanketed by grey clouds and fog.

First, we went home to BC to pick up a few things (vacuum cleaner, welding equipment, and LPG tanks for refilling), spending a few hours there as the rain poured. Had lunch with Dad, then left for the other farm around mid-afternoon (3 pm) to deliver crates of potato seedlings for Mr. E to plant when the weather improves.

In the past, we often wished the days would slow down. This time is different. We honestly couldn't wait for September to arrive, hoping it would be warmer and more cheerful. The hubby teases, saying the weather makes the mother and son (referring to me and our lil boy, Yongi) cranky.

There is truth to it, though, so I just laughed.😁

Meanwhile, this was one of the scenes we encountered along the provincial highway. A massive boulder fell from the mountainside and is now sitting in one of the lanes, blocking it entirely. We had to stop to let the motorbike pass first.

Scary thoughts flashed through my mind, and I had goosebumps, imagining things, then quickly dismissed them with a fervent prayer that no one was hurt when it rolled down there.🙏

But yeah, with the continuing monsoon rains, it would take some time for these and the landslides in many places to be cleared.

Anyway, my little sunshine seems to be saying, "Mom, stop your ho-hums already."😂

Okay, lil dahling, I'm giving it a period right there. Here's to a fantastic weekend, wherever you may be!

In my region I am hoping for the rain. I wish there were a way to teleport or exchange the weather. !LOL .Hehe I know, it's impossible but there is nothing wrong in imagining. !PIZZA !PAKX

Haha! Samedt! Prayers for the rain during the heat wave kinda worked a little late. And you know nature has a sense of humor. Rain huh? here ya go 🫴🌧️⚡⛈️

That's a common problem in the highlands..we worry about it a lot, too. While we thought the continuous rain was the culprit, it also reminds us of the thoughtless cutting of trees. In our area, people cut down trees, burn them, and use them for charcoal. In low lying grounds, it has been flooded for weeks. The thought of it all is juz adding to my depression these days.. but hey 'ber' months are approaching to cheer us all up. Jose Mari Chan is ready. 🎄

I'm glad no one was hurt too. Take care.
