[TV] Another emotional season/ The Bear Season 3

My dear movie-loving friends, I hope you had a great weekend. Here we are again with a new review of this series, which, as I’ve told you before, is definitely worth watching. El Oso is a family story about a man who decided to believe in himself and in his dream of becoming the best chef—but at what cost?

🎬 THE-BEAR /season 3 🎬

In this third season, we find a new restaurant—now restored and up and running—where everyone faces higher expectations, raw pressure, chaos, stress, exhaustion, and personal conflicts that consume and overwhelm them. Working under pressure within a systematic, organized framework is certainly no easy task; you get swept up in just how stressful and unsettling it can become at its most critical moments.

In this part of the series, we’ll see how negative work experiences and the resulting trauma can affect both your personal and professional life, where bad habits and attitudes impact those around you—and when you’re unable to overcome them, they continue to unsettle you to the point where you feel lost. Our chef Carmy is a prime example of this—a shrewd man, yet one burdened by many traumas. This season, he’ll try to keep his restaurant afloat, with the goal of earning that famous star, and to do so, he’ll have to push it to the brink of sustainability—both financially and emotionally.

In addition, we’ll see a flashback depicting the life of Tina, one of the restaurant’s employees, and her journey through the city in search of a job; this is how she ends up working at El Oso, where she meets the owner, Michael, Carmy’s brother. I liked this part because it shows us how frustrating it is to find a job, especially for older people who, even though they have many years of experience, aren’t considered for positions if they don’t have a college degree—something that happens today, because without a degree, you’re nobody.

We’ll see Jamie Lee Curtis once again in her role as a mother in a very emotional and exhausting episode, where Carmy’s sister will have a baby; meanwhile, new characters will appear, including notable actors like John Cena in brief but meaningful roles.

For me, The Bear has undoubtedly been a truly entertaining and, in some ways, moving series. It shows us all the chaos of working in a restaurant and, even so, how supportive and warm the environment can be—the learning, the experience, and the long journey they must take to become the best.

If you haven't seen them yet, I hope this third review will encourage you to give them a try. For those of us who enjoy this kind of series—emotional, slow-paced, yet meaningful—it's well worth it.

It’s a series that touches on more personal issues, tackling very heavy topics such as mental health, the loss of a loved one, and the stress of always trying to be the best. It’s a series I’ve been keen to watch and have seen some really good reviews of, but I’m not yet sure if it’ll really draw me in. Your review was really good – thanks for sharing it 😊

Gracias

It's not my kind of plot, but it looks great, friend, for taking your mind off things.

  • Wow, what you say about workplace stress caught my attention. It’s something we really need to take care of for our own mental health. Great post! 👏🧠
