Portada de Noviembre [ENG/ESP]

We begin a new month, and the end of the year is drawing near—a year marked by deep nostalgia, unexpected losses, and experiences that are difficult to comprehend or accept. Yet, there is a reason for everything; all that remains is to learn from what happens to us and move forward.

Comenzamos un nuevo mes, ya falta poco para que termine este año, un año con mucha nostalgia, pérdidas inesperadas, procesos difíciles de entender y aceptar, sin embargo, todo tiene un porque de las cosas, sólo queda aprender y superar lo que nos sucede.

Today, I took the opportunity to draw in my bullet journal and create my cover page for November. Since yesterday was the Day of the Dead, I felt inspired to give my cover a special touch—something a bit different. I drew a creative, stylized letter "N," incorporating skulls, roses, and other artistic elements around it.

I like to start by sketching with a graphite pencil, then adding depth using a black marker—first with the fine tip, then with the broader one. Now, all that’s left is to add some color. Since purple is a signature color for this time of year, I chose it as the background for the letter.

As for the rest, you can see flowers with hints of orange and their green leaves. At the bottom, I wrote out the full name of the month using hand-lettering; this style is lovely and adds a unique flair to any cover page.

And, of course, there’s a little skull perched on top of the letter—another distinctive detail that fits right in with the color scheme.

It was a simple drawing—sometimes that’s all you need: something easy and straightforward, without any fuss. I enjoy drawing, and I’ve really felt like doing it lately; it’s a great way to clear my mind and pass the time. It’s not easy being without a computer and relying solely on my phone to generate income—I have to set it aside to charge, and while I’ve been using my mom’s phone in the meantime, I don’t want to overwhelm it. So, I’m just doing what I can.

Hoy aproveche de dibujar en mi bullet y crear mi portada del mes de noviembre, y cómo ayer se conmemoró el día de muertos, no sé, me dió por darle este toque a mi portada, hacer algo diferente, dibujando está creativa inicial de la letra N, con un estilo de calaveras, rosas y arte a su alrededor.

Me gusta trazar la linea con el lápiz grafito, para luego darle profundidad con el marcador negro, primero con la punta fina y luego con la gruesa, ahora sólo me queda darle un poco de color, bien sabemos que los tonos característicos que se usan para éstas fechas son el morado, por ende escogí este color como fondo a la inicial.

Y bueno el resto cómo ven las flores con un toque naranja, y sus respectivas hojas verdes, y abajo coloque el nombre del mes completo, con estilo lettering, este tipo de letra son bonitas y le dan un toque diferente a nuestras portadas.

Pero no olvidemos nuestra pequeña calavera encima de la inicial, también con un toque diferente, entre estos colores.

Bueno este fue un dibujo sencillo, a veces sólo necesitamos dibujar un poquito, algo sencillo y fácil de hacer, sin tanto protocolo, a mi me gusta dibujar y estos días he tenido ganas de hacerlo, así distraigo mi mente, y mato el tiempo de ocio, porque estar sin computadora, y depender solo del teléfono para generar ingresos, no es nada fácil, debo soltarlo para que cargue, mientras me ayudó con el teléfono de mi mamá, pero tampoco quiero saturarlo mucho, entonces bueno, hago lo que puedo.
