Saludos querida comunidad, hace unas semanas atrás recibí un encargo muy especial, pues venía de parte del papá de una amiga cercana, el cual me escribió directamente para que ni mi amiga se enterara, pues el amigurumi lo quería para darle una sorpresa a su esposa, después de ver que personaje y las iniciales del nombre en un corazón, me pareció una idea encantadora y sentía que era mi deber dar todo de mi para que su esposa recibiera un amigurumi muy bonito 😊

Greetings, dear community! A few weeks ago, I received a very special commission from the father of a close friend. He wrote to me directly so that my friend wouldn’t find out, as he wanted the amigurumi to be a surprise for his wife. Once I saw the character and the initials inside a heart, I thought it was a lovely idea and felt it was my duty to give it my all so that his wife would receive a truly beautiful amigurumi 😊

Proceso / Process

Debo decir que mi disposición siempre fue la mejor aun así fue un encargo un poco difícil porque trabajé con hilo negro muy delgado y ganchillo de 1.25mm, pero decidí hacerlo con esos materiales porque quería hacer los detalles mas pequeños, el problema es que con los cortes de electricidad debía interrumpir mi jornada de trabajo o cuando era de día buscar algún espacio de la casa con luz natural por algunas horas.

I must say I was fully committed to the project, though it was a bit of a challenge since I worked with very fine black thread and a 1.25mm crochet hook. I chose those materials because I wanted to create finer details, but the power outages forced me to interrupt my work, or—during the day—I had to find a spot in the house with natural light for a few hours.

Aun con todos los inconvenientes pude llevar el proyecto hacia adelante, trabaje primero haciendo las piernas, las garras las hice con punto puff en color gris oscuro, uní las patas con cadenas y luego agregue la cola que había hecho aparte para continuar el cuerpo hasta el cuello, es decir en una sola pieza sin costura.

Even with all the inconveniences I was able to carry the project forward, I worked first making the legs, I made the claws with puff stitch in dark gray, I joined the legs with chains and then added the tail that I had made separately to continue the body up to the neck, that is, in a single piece without sewing.

Los brazos y la cabeza si los hice por separado y luego los cosí, para los ojos en lugar de limitarme a bordar con color verde, decidí incorporar el hilo verde como parte de las puntadas de la cabeza haciendo cambios de color, para luego colocar los ojos de seguridad en las áreas verdes.

I did make the arms and head separately and then sewed them on; for the eyes, instead of simply embroidering with green, I decided to incorporate the green yarn into the stitches of the head by switching colors, and then placed the safety eyes within those green areas.

Para que las alas tuvieran mejor estructura introduje alambre por dentro de la ultima hilera, de ese modo se pueden hasta doblar, aunque los detalles de la cabeza como los cuernos eran de pequeño tamaño al trabajar con ganchillo de 1.25 logré lo que quería en guante a las dimensiones y me encantó que todo tomara forma una vez cosí esas pequeñas piezas.

To give the wings better structure, I inserted wire into the last row; this way, they can even be bent. Although head details like the horns were tiny, using a 1.25mm crochet hook allowed me to achieve the dimensions I wanted, and I loved seeing everything take shape once I sewed those small pieces on.

Resultado / Result

Lo mejor de todo fue recibir el mensaje del señor diciéndome que estaba satisfecho con mi trabajo y que ya se lo había dado a su esposa , deseo que el amigurumi los acompañe por muchos años 😄

The best part was receiving the message from the gentleman telling me he was satisfied with my work and had already given it to his wife; I hope the amigurumi stays with them for many years 😄
