Today I have taken a lot of "poetic license" (and, truth be told, I do not know if it is correct to use that term in a case like this, but it seemed good to me) to process and edit some of my recent photos, taken during long morning walks on the rural roads that extend to the south of the town...
Today I have taken a lot of "poetic license" (and, truth be told, I do not know if it is correct to use that term in a case like this, but it seemed good to me) to process and edit some of my recent photos, taken during long morning walks on the rural roads that extend to the south of the town...

I started, as always, from my RAW files and sat in front of my PC, determined to "paint a little"... I changed the greens to yellows and also some ochres; I increased the clarity and contrast and illuminated the whitish fog; then, some turquoise blue over everything that was there... Not always like that, not always in that order, but, more or less, in that way... I even dared to invent that somewhat poetic title for this series of photos: "Fences, palisades, gates, and other miracles", precisely because those were the things I saw through the fog, on those foggy mornings, while I wandered...

And I really liked how all this turned out, precisely because it closely resembles how I sometimes look, in my imagination, at those pastures surrounded by fences and palisades; or how I understand, in my delusions, the old gates that seem to lead to very foggy worlds that only exist for a few hours; or, even, the road, which usually fills with an impossible loneliness at dawn when the fog seems to want to stay forever...
