Wow...My phone popped up some memories from November 8th, 2018.....

And I was in Krakow, Poland for what to this day, has been the most fun I've ever had at any kind of conference and seminar in my life.

First of all, if you have never been to Krakow or Poland for that matter....It's so worth the trip. Just an amazing country.

Here's some quick pics from the event....

The day I got to the event, I quickly grabbed my badge. No time for any kind of jet lag :)

The next pic is a quick snap I took of the 'crowd'. Apparently, Steemfest3 (or HiveFest) was the most attended 'fest' in blockchain history. You really felt a part of something special back then...

Hey look....It's Ned. If you know about Ned...Well....That's blockchain lore these days...

Probably the best event of the 'Fest was actually not part of the official event....It was the DDaily Mansion! And the mastermind sessions that took place there. Some legends showed up and took part in the talks. We really need @nathanmars back!!!!

Like I said, Krakow is epic! The river walk was some personal time I really enjoyed. Got a great look at the city scape....Amazing city!

The last night of SteemFest we went 'down' into the salt mines outside of Krakow. You had to see this place to believe it!

In fact, we had an entire dinner celebration....Like a mile under the earth lol

I miss these days on the #blockchain It truly was some of the most exciting times of my life.

Nice to see some of the faces while they were younger... 😃 I was in that salt mine, but a few years later, with a much smaller group of Hivians... All in all, nice memories... Hopefully, we will make new ones in the next years!!

That was a good one and I hope we can get some of that spirit back. Some of those folk are still around. I miss @nathanmars too! I'm sorry I missed the trip to the mine.

    That was my first SteemFest.

    It was a great event.

    Great photos.

Back then, people joined because they wanted to be part of the early adopters and join a community to grow together. True we haven't grown as expected, but most people had a decent, if not good run

Now, the majority people join because they want to make a quick buck. They don't care about contributing or building a future on Hive. For them, it's all take and no give

2018 is a year where I started my journey on the blockchain.

Thanks for sharing your pictures and memories from that time!

The meetups always look so nice. I also miss Nathanmars. It's too bad that he quit, but I think he did his best before he left.

  • Wow that looks huge, crowded. Today it often seems the opposite here…🫣

  • I wonder whether those of us who chose HIVE made the right decision :)
