Everyone faces rejection

Yesterday, before I came across this prompt today, I saw on a friend's WhatsApp status a video of a soldier on the battlefield running towards a truck carrying his mates as they tried to escape. He was supposed to be allowed to enter so they could escape together, but they didn't wait for him. He felt really bad seeing the truck carrying his mates away despite his efforts to get into the truck. He felt disappointed; he felt rejected. But just a few minutes after they drove away, he saw the truck explode, with everyone blasted to pieces. And the post was captioned, "Every rejection is God's protection."

No lies, rejection can be very hurtful, especially when it comes from an angle where one believes they cannot be rejected, or when it comes from their loved ones. But the thing is, rejection is part of our experience in life. In one way or another, every human being living on earth must face it, and it is the responsibility of the victim to shake it off and continue to live life. To be sincere, whenever I face rejection these days, I don't think too much about it. I will accept it as part of life's challenges and keep living my life.

I've seen situations where some people refused to eat or have a normal life because the lady or guy they have a crush on rejected them. In this modern age, people are not supposed to follow this path when rejected on such grounds. Like, this modern age has given us a lot of exposure, and being rejected on such grounds should give the victim a clear sign that such a person they are dying to get is not meant for them, and that's just the basic truth. As for me, whenever I get a rejection on such grounds, I celebrate within myself.

When I graduated from school and was hunting for jobs, to be very sincere, I didn't feel any pain from the rejections I got from the places where I submitted my CV. It's not like I didn't have faith in getting the jobs; I had faith, and at the same time, I didn't see myself abstaining from food and crying because I wasn't called for the jobs I applied for.

When you know that rejection is part of life, you will always position your mind to withstand it whenever it comes.

Thanks for reading.
