Hello, my friends. What a pleasure to greet you once again and return to this community.
All rewards from this post go to @natalimcr27 and @carisma77, both affected by the earthquake.
Every day, my chest tightens as I watch the rescue and salvage efforts in our sister nation of Venezuela on television. An immense joy embraces me every time I see a survivor, every time I see that solidarity has manifested through the support of several countries—this gives me hope that the planet is full of good people. Because there are moments in a people's history when the earth not only trembles beneath their feet but also shakes the very foundations of the soul.

Venezuela, with its geography crossed by tectonic faults, has known that deep roar that turns solidity into rubble in an instant. But there is something that no earthquake, no matter how violent, has managed to break: the spiritual fiber of its people. That silent force that rises amid dust and pain is called resilience, and in the heart of every Venezuelan, it beats with an intensity that defies any magnitude on the Richter scale.

Resilience is not ignoring suffering or whitewashing tragedy with false optimism. On the contrary, it is looking destruction straight in the eye, feeling the weight of loss, and still deciding that hope is an act of rebellion. After every difficult moment, Venezuelans have demonstrated the strength of their communities. Neighbors who become rescuers with their bare hands, families who open their doors to strangers, teachers who improvise classrooms amid cracks so that education does not become another victim. That instinctive response, that defiant "throwing oneself into the fight" against fate, is the first manifestation of a nation that refuses to be defined by its ruins.

But true resilience—the kind that transcends the immediate moment—is a deeper process. It is the ability to rebuild not only houses but also stories, to repair not only roads but also dreams. The Venezuelan people, battered by nature and by complex social storms, have had to learn to be their own architects of hope amid scarcity. Resilience then becomes a muscle exercised in daily life: the mother who invents a toy from a plastic bottle for her child, the baker who finds a way to bake with what is available, the nurse who heals wounds without proper supplies. That creativity forged in adversity is the most valuable legacy left by any disaster.

For Venezuela, resilience is also an exercise in memory and identity. It is remembering that one is the child of a people who have risen time and again from their ashes, who possess the telluric strength of their mountains and the perseverance of their mightiest river. It is not a forgetting of what happened, but a collective processing of pain that transforms it into momentum. It means honoring those who have passed by rebuilding for those who remain, and planting trees where there was only dust, with the faith that their fruits will belong to the generations to come.

But resilience cannot be a mandate to endure in solitude. It is also a call to solidarity, to build bridges where the tremor opened cracks. Venezuelans need to know that their strength is recognized and accompanied, that their efforts do not fall into the void of international oblivion. The resilience of the people demands to be met with opportunities, with policies that understand that reconstruction is a pact between the State, the community, and the heart of every citizen.

<When the dust settles and silence returns to the streets, what will remain standing is the certainty that the Venezuelan spirit is a building with infinite foundations. The earthquake passes, the aftershock fades, the pain is great, but the decision to rise, to laugh, to sing, and to keep dreaming—that is the true magnitude that measures a people. Venezuela is not just its land; it is the will of those who, despite everything, choose to build tomorrow with the bricks of today. Because resilience, in the end, is not the noise of collapse, but the steady heartbeat of a people who, with their hands and their faith, reinvent themselves every day and will rise again like the Phoenix.

Here I share with you a poem that has accompanied me since my sister's passing, by the Chilean writer Óscar Hahn. I hope it also serves as comfort.
THE SUFFERER
These days will pass as pass
all the bad days of life
The winds that ravage you will subside
The blood of your wound will stagnate
The wandering soul will return to its nest
What was lost yesterday will be found
The sun will be conceived without blemish
and will rise again at your side
And you will say before the sea: How could >I,
drowned, without compass, and lost,
reach port with torn sails?
And a voice will say to you: Don't you know
The very wind that broke your ships
is what makes the seagulls fly.
