There are so many Korean dramas out there, but sometimes you come across one that stays in your mind even after you finish watching it. One of that drama is "Lovely Runner". It is a romantic fantasy drama with comedy, emotional moments, and a storyline that kept me interested from the beginning to the end.
The story is about Im Sol, a young woman who is a big fan of a popular singer and actor, Ryu Sun-jae. When something tragic happens to him, Sol gets a strange opportunity to go back in time. She decides to try to change his future and prevent the bad things that are going to happen to him. From there, things become complicated, funny, emotional and sometimes completely unexpected.
One of the things I really enjoyed about "Lovely Runner" was the chemistry between Sol and Sun-jae. Their relationship made the drama enjoyable for me because it was not just serious romance all the time. There were plenty of funny and awkward moments that made me laugh. At the same time, there were scenes that were genuinely emotional and made me feel connected to the characters.
I also liked Sol's character because she did not give up easily. Even when things did not go according to plan, she kept trying. Imagine getting the chance to go back in time and save someone you care about. That sounds exciting, but it also comes with a lot of pressure. Watching her go through all of this made me think about how far people can go when they truly care about someone.
The biggest lesson I took from the drama is the importance of appreciating the people we have in our lives. We often assume that our loved ones will always be around, so we don't always show them how much they mean to us. Lovely Runner reminded me that life can change unexpectedly, and because of that, we should value our relationships while we can.
Another lesson for me is not to give up easily. Things may not always work out the first time, and sometimes life can be frustrating. But that doesn't mean we should stop trying. Sol's determination showed me that hope and persistence can sometimes change things in ways we don't expect.
I really enjoyed "Lovely Runner" because it gave me a good balance of romance, comedy and emotion. It made me laugh, feel emotional and also think about life. For me, it was not just another Korean drama to watch and forget. It was a reminder to appreciate the people around me, enjoy the present and keep hoping even when things get difficult.
