Crowdfunding sites should ensure that they keep their users safe. They should check the campaign organizers, keep a close watch on fraudulent behaviour and publish clear reports on the funds received and how they have been disbursed. Fundraisers should keep users updated on the use of funds.
My family's story with GoFundMe makes me remember that the good of crowdsourcing lies in them being a good friend for our tough days. Crowd funding helps people get help when they most need it.
