Me & My Script Against The World

I revived my love to scripting once again...

I used to be a script kiddie allegedly ; that's what got me into tech anyway and I forgot I had that in me after many years. It's so funny that once I got out of the dark clouds in my head, I got so much clarity that I found love to scripting again.

Well, today that's because I need to automate a lot of things in my life including solving a problem where I am not paid enough to do that. For instance, we deal with a huge lists of data and I couldn't be arsed to do it manually. Hence, I am learning excel scripting and find more unique ways to leverage it. As a teacher, I also need to create forms and quizzes for my students and this is where scripting helps.

In the age of AI, scripting just becomes a lot more interesting. I have to say that scripting with AI will not give you 100% correct result and you have to still learn a bit but I think, the barrier is lower. As long as you know how to prompt, basic ways to connect one thing or two, you can essentially create a functional product. I am not saying it's secure because that alone is different story but these days you can literally script your way out of many things.

So far, scripting helps me save more than 2 hours of my day. This was one of the things that changed my life these past few weeks. You can say I am pretty addicted scripting a lot of things in my life now. I finally find ways to create a no fluff productivity hack through scripting my excel. At this point, if you have a little creativity, you can do a lot of stuff especially if you're good at prompting.
