Never Get Carried Away

I've been learning some professional work etiquette these past couple of weeks. It's not only that I learned more about the job and industry I am currently in but more so about staying firm on my work ethic. Among many other good qualities I have, there are some of the negatives that I am slowly trying to work through, which is getting caught up in gossips and negative talk about our boss. Certainly, I have some dislike on how things run sometimes but I tend to keep it by myself. However, there are times when my mouth spouts as though the trash bin is already full. I got carried away and things spilled over only for me to regret it later on.

I recognize that people work to get money. So am I. However, I am more accepting any amount that fills my pocket, no matter how small. My only rule in life and in work are that as long as I like it and finds it enjoyable.

" Why work hard when you can work smarter?"....

Recently, those are rhetorical question that I came across. The thing is, I believe in the idea of working hard and working smarter. Sometimes in life you can't really cut corners. There's certain process and season that we must experience in order to level up.

Though, sometimes, you meet a co-worker whose hobby is to cut corners and actually thinking that they shouldn't be doing the job because the effort doesn't equal the salary. I get the reasoning behind it all but I am way past that bitterness. I am also not in the position to negotiate higher salary given working at a consulting firm like this, degree and certification are all that matters.

I've learned these lesson and basically keep it extremely professional. It doesn't matter who they are in our life, it's best to always keep it very professional than not.

which is getting caught up in gossips and negative talk about our boss

Gossip never leads anywhere good. I think we have created a culture that normalises it far more now, so we are more inclined to gossip openly - compounding the problem.
