During my long trip around Java, I had the chance to visit Senja Pagi, a cafe / mini zoo located in Magelang, Central Java. Prior visiting the area, I didn't know that this particular neighborhood has stunning cafes and restaurants with a view of overlooking several mountain in the region especially Mount Andong. I visited the place without much expectation but that made the experience better.
Apparently, this cafe was viral, something I came to know later but when I arrived, it looked like a regular cafe. I just looked around and didn't have any expectations until I went to their backyard which made me had a reaction, " Wow, this place is stunning!" and obviously, there is a ticket to enter the backyard, separate from the cafe.
I went with my family and obviously, I was the one who still brough the laptop everywhere. It's the first spot that I wanted to take a selfie because the landscape is doing most of the work, it's just so breathtaking. You have the greenery and the mountain view while casually sitting with a coffee. I felt like it was such a trip after some weeks of working my ass off.
You know, I travel quite a lot and it's very easy for me to get dejected. After a while beautiful place just becomes normality and somehow this exact cafe gives me different feeling. It was as if something was renewed in me. There were also people working in the field that basically just makes it so picturesque and gives you the fantasy on how beautiful simple village life can be. In reality, it isn't that simple.
I ordered their Arabica one and while it was served in a humble cup and style, the taste was as if it was cafe made. I didn't regret it, not one bit.

Just image you have your coffee while looking at the stunning mountain view surrounding it. I also ordered a humble meal to accompany my afternoon that day.

When I spot this kind of place, I want more people to check it out. It's one of those places that helps you think better. It has all the lists I like ; good coffee & awesome views. It also made me want to live somewhere in the woods with this kind of view.

I normally don't like taking a selfie but I felt like I needed proof that I was visiting this place haha. The interesting part is that, I thought back in 2022 I've traveled to nook and crannies of Java but this time, I truly comb the island through this job which enables me to do so.

If you have the chance to visit Yogyakarta, try this area which is only about an hour drive from Yogyakarta. It's going to add some memorable trips into your story. Many of point of interests in Indonesia is actually a coffee shop/cafe than just the place these days. So, people travel to coffee shops/cafe than to its actual location because in this type of place, they can have everything a visitors/travelers might need.
