Hola queridos compañeros DIY. Esta última semana me la he visto bien creativa con mi emprendimiento, como les he comentado, a veces la inspiración para mi; surge de determinadas situaciones, imágenes, sonidos, entre otros, y en este caso no fue la excepción.

A través de búsquedas en las redes sociales de mi emprendimiento, me topé con una imagen de unas pulseras religiosas, qué indicaban las palabras "ora, ama, espera" y pues decidí usar de inspiración, a mi forma, este set de pulseras.

Primero y principal, para mi es una debilidad los tejidos, pero no hay algo que no se pueda, y menos ahora con la ayuda de las redes sociales, luego de ir a la mercería a comprar los materiales, me dispuse a aprender a hacer el trenzado plano, el cual, me costó bastante, pero aquí les explico mejor en el paso a paso.

Hello, fellow DIY enthusiasts! I’ve been feeling quite creative with my small business this past week. As I’ve mentioned before, my inspiration often strikes from specific situations, images, or sounds—and this time was no exception.

While browsing social media for my business, I stumbled upon an image of religious bracelets featuring the words "pray, love, wait." I decided to use that set as inspiration to create my own version.

First of all, I have a bit of a weakness for weaving and braiding techniques, but nothing is impossible—especially not these days with the help of social media. After a trip to the craft store to pick up materials, I set out to learn the flat braid technique; it was a bit of a challenge, but I’ll explain the process in detail in the step-by-step guide below.

Proceso: / process:

Las pulseras "ama y espera" son sencillas. Se toma 90 cm de hilo, se divide en dos partes iguales, y se anexan las cuentas separandolas con un balin mediano, al final se les hace un nudo sencillo con ayuda del pitillo, y se verifica que la palabra haya quedado al centro de hilo, antes de hacer los nudos de los extremos.

The "Love and Wait" bracelets are simple to make. Take a 90 cm length of cord and divide it into two equal parts; then, string on the beads, separating them with a medium-sized metal bead. Finally, tie a simple knot using a straw to help, making sure the word is centered on the cord before tying the knots at the ends.

Ahora bien, el nudo o trenzado plano es más fácil de lo que parece.

However, the flat knot or braid is easier than it seems.

• se toma 90 cm de hilo rosado y se divide en dos
• se cortan 60 cm de hilo (de los 120 cm colocados en los materiales), es decir dos trozos de hilo de 60 cm cada uno.
• se hace un nudo sencillo con el hilo de 60 cm. Y se procede a tejer de la siguiente forma.
• se comienza con el lado derecho, se pasa por arriba del hilo base, y el lado izquierdo se pasa por debajo del hilo base, incertandose por el agujeo del lado derecho y se halan los dos extremos.

• Take a 90 cm length of pink thread and divide it in two.
• Cut 60 cm of thread (from the 120 cm length listed in the materials)—that is, two pieces of thread, each 60 cm long.
• Tie a simple knot with the 60 cm thread and proceed to weave as follows:

• se vuelve a hacer este procedimiento, pero contrario, pasando el lado izquierdo por arriba del hilo base, y el hilo derecho incertandose en el agujero del izquierdo.

Ya terminado el trenzado se cortan los lados de los hilos de 60 y se queman las puntas.

Este proceso también se hace con la pulseras sencillas, se hacen nudos en las puntas y se queman con el encendedor, de antemano habiendo incluido un balin pequeño para darle mejor estética a las pulseras.

This process is also used for simple bracelets: knots are tied at the ends and singed with a lighter, having first added a small bead to enhance the bracelet's appearance.

El nudo final corredizo es un nudo de barril, que se hace con un pitillo, en la foto se puede ver el proceso. Doy 5 vueltas alrededor del pitillo para que quede ancho, pero bien apretado.

The final sliding knot is a barrel knot made using a straw; you can see the process in the photo. I wrap it around the straw five times so that it is wide but tightly secured.

Se cortan los excesos de hilo, y se queman. Este proceso del nudo barril se hace con cada una de las pulseras.

The excess thread is trimmed and singed. This barrel knot process is performed on each of the bracelets.

Y listo. De esta forma, se tiene un set de pulseras lindas, femeninas y con sentido.

And that's it. In this way, you have a set of cute, feminine and meaningful bracelets.
