Well, there are times that the money actually matters most, honestly. This is my own personal opinion, though, because if I'm left to choose between both jobs, one that I love but pays little and another that I dislike but pays more, I would definitely choose that which I dislike, but its pay is okay, especially at a time like this when finance is a very big issue for me. And even though I would love to do something I love, allow me to do this first, just for some reason, and gather some money, and who knows, I might fall in love with it along the way since I'm already in love with the pay.
I know a lot of people here can very well relate with me; we know how hard and expensive surviving is these days, there are bills to pay, responsibilities to handle, and a host of other things to sort out, and as it is good to do what you love, what if it doesn't or cannot put food on your table or money in your pocket? So sometimes it's just best to do something that's paying you even if it's not what you would have loved to do. I'm not saying we shouldn't do what we love all because there's a job that pays really well; I'm just saying we can consider that a well-paying job. So far the job is not an illegitimate one, and it's not life-threatening. And since the pay is good, then go for it. You don't like the job, but you like the pay, so what are we waiting for?
But then, if you have a passion for something and you know it can provide a living for you, then keep up with it, work towards it, and keep going. It's not as if I don't have one too, but I will need that well-paying job to get some money to pump into what I have a passion for. Money is very important, but I also know that peace of mind, happiness, and good health are very important too.
I can work towards that which I love later on; let me secure a bit of funds from this well-paying job first. That way, I would be able to afford and do what I love/want tomorrow.
