You know, if you're born in this part of the world without a silver spoon, then you have a whole lot to do. You can't even tell me you know what to do or that you already have life figured out. The fact that you're born without a silver spoon already means life is leading you with some scores already, then if you're born a male, life is now even leading you now with more points than before. It is just the truth.
There are times I still myself down and think, like I think of where I'm coming from, think of where I am, then think of where exactly it is my life is going. And to be honest with you, I'm always thinking of good things about my future, which I very well love and truly hope and pray it comes to pass. You know, at least I will be off all of this overthinking, burdens and all.
Also, it's no even a bad thing that I'm thinking that my life should have already been taking shape at this moment. I mean, if had knw what exactly i want to do, how I will get there, the things needed,and all of that. But then, here I'm still trying to figure out things and trying to survive oke day as it comes. There are times I think about it and feel, nah, I'm doing very well, very soon I will be there, and there are days I question every single thing and wonder if I'm even making any progress at all.
And you know the most funniest part, there's this point you get to and everyone feels and believes that you should have something doing and know what you're doing as well. I'm at that stage of life already. I've got lots of questions like, "what's your plan, what's the next step, what next, staying or leaving,......?" And many many more are the questions I've been asked. Guess what, it's hard to say, "I don't know yet." Because the moment you say that, it feels like you're a failure, it feels like you don't know what you're doing, it feels like you're not serious.
And I will like to add this. We put too much pressure on the young ones. There's too much pressure on us to have life figured out. It is not as if I'm saying it is bad if we have it figured out early..it is good, it is even good for us, but when we're trying to but still haven't gotten there, the highest or lowest you can do for us is to wish us well, help us if you can, pray for us or just be there for us.
You know... We all know the kind of world we live in today, yet you expect a 20+ years old to already have a good job, be financially stable, already preparing to get married and a whole lot more, and we've forgotten that the world did not seem to be getting any better. And like I said earlier, it's not as if it is bad if we're able to achieve all of that and more early in life. Yes, I know we don't always have all the time, i understand that we need to make hay while the sun shines. Because there's something about life, it is that it keeps going either you're ready or not, either you have something doing or not, life keeps going and waits for nobody.
Whatever it is we can do, or whatever it is we can put our hands on to do, so far it's legal, then let's just do it. A lot of people are wasting there time doing nothing, while a lot of us as well are taking our time doing something. At least we're hoping for better days, but before that better day comes we should be doing something, who knows if it is through that which you're even doing. And even if that's not exactly what we want to do or spend our lives doing, it's not bad to start from there too. At least, it is way better than doing nothing.
Life is full of ups and downs. Life is full of potholes, life is full of crooked paths. While some find it easy to navigate, some find it hard to. So for me, I don't think we should be pressured to have everything figured out at a young age. That's why you see a kot of people going into shady businesses and doing illegal things just to look as if they've arrived. So, no don't pressure us. Encourage us, pray for us, connect us if you can, help us if you have the capacity,.make the journey a bit easier for us, but don't pressure us. For me, I just keep moving, I know with each step comes some more level of clarity.
