HAPPY HALLOWEEN šŸ‘¹šŸ£šŸŽŽ Wonderful Japan ENG-GER

IMG_0878.JPG

When you think of Halloween, Japan isn’t necessarily the first thing that comes to mind. And it’s true—it took quite a while for this spooky, eerie fun to take hold here in the Far East. When I spent my first fall here, it wasn’t at all easy to find any Halloween decorations, but that’s changed a lot over the years.

Many stores in Japan have now decorated somewhat appropriately for the occasion, and you can see pumpkins and ghosts in many places. But fortunately, it’s not quite as over-the-top and excessive as it is in North America, for example—it’s actually rather toned down.

But that’s exactly what makes it so charming, and I’m always happy to see a few Halloween decorations here and there. Like recently, for example, when we were able to admire some seasonal decorations while enjoying a warm foot bath. That’s exactly how it should be!

And maybe you’ll get to experience a little Halloween spirit around you, too—just enjoy it without overthinking it!

So, there’s only one thing left for me to wish for:

DEUTSCH

I like that Japan keeps Halloween a bit more toned down than North America, pumpkins and ghosts here and there without going completely overboard sounds just right.

Funny how Halloween took its time catching on over there, sounds like the shops are finally getting into it now.
