What's going on here?
That's exactly the question I asked myself that evening when things suddenly got hectic around me. The day had actually been quite pleasant and quiet, and I was already on my way to bed. But suddenly, my plans changed.
It had started harmlessly, with a small light bulb that wouldn’t stay lit. Well, that happens sometimes—even if it was a type of bulb you don’t necessarily have on hand and have to go out and buy first.
But that was just the beginning, because all of a sudden our washing machine started leaking. Okay, it wasn’t really the washing machine itself, but the water hose that goes into it. Still, it was quite a scare, because we were in the middle of doing laundry and water was gushing out.
After a lengthy investigation and some in-depth AI research, I was able to narrow down the problem a bit. It’s either the connector and seal on the hose, or the chrome adapter above it. Both still look pretty good, even though they’re a bit older.
Even the store couldn’t really help us; we’ll probably have to try replacing parts one by one until we find the problem. We’ll probably start with the hose and hope that a new one will be our savior. If not, we’ll also have to buy the Chrome part, which, of course, isn’t cheap. Neither is the hose, for that matter.
In any case, we’ve got a few expenses and repairs ahead of us for now, as we’ll need the washing machine again soon, and we certainly don’t want to flood the place. As usual, these kinds of problems happen at inappropriate times, but I’m still optimistic that we’ll solve the issue. I really hope to be able to report some success soon...

Was ist denn hier los?
Genau diese Frage hatte ich mir am Abend auch gestellt, als es plötzlich unruhig um mich herum wurde. Eigentlich war der Tag ganz angenehm und ruhig gewesen und ich war doch bereits auf dem Weg Richtung Bett. Aber plötzlich änderten sich meine Pläne.
Begonnen hatte es noch harmlos, mit einer kleinen Glühbirne, die nicht mehr brennen wollte. Nun ja, das passiert schon mal, auch wenn es eine Birne war, die man nicht unbedingt vorrätig hat und erst einmal kaufen muss.
Aber das war erst der Anfang, denn auf einmal begann unsere Waschmaschine zu tropfen. Okay, es war nicht wirklich die Waschmaschine, sondern am Wasserschlauch, der in die Maschine rein geht. Trotzdem war es ein größerer Schreck, denn wir waren gerade am Wäschewaschen und es lief ordentlich Wasser aus.
Nach längerem Untersuchen und eingehender KI-Recherche habe ich dann das Problem etwas einengen können. Entweder ist es das Verbindungs- und Dichtungsstück am Schlauch, oder der Chrome-Adapter darüber. Beides sieht noch recht gut aus, auch wenn sie schon etwas älter sind.
Auch im Shop konnten sie uns nicht wirklich weiterhelfen, wir müssen wohl Stück für Stück probieren, bis wir das Problem gefunden haben. Beginnen werden wir dann wohl mit dem Schlauch und hoffen, dass ein Neuer unsere Rettung sein wird. Wenn nicht, müssen wir dann auch noch das Chrome-Stück kaufen, was natürlich nicht ganz so billig ist. Der Schlauch übrigends auch nicht.
Auf jeden Fall stehen erst mal noch ein paar Ausgaben und Rennenreien an, denn die Waschmaschine wird schob bald wieder benötigt und wir wollen ja nicht die Wohnung unter Wasser setzen. Wie üblich kommt solch Ärger zu unpassenden Zeiten, aber ich bin trotzdem optimistisch, dass wir das Problem lösen werden. Ich hoffe sehr, bald Erfolge vermelden zu können...
