Como pasan estos días ? , hoy les quiero compartir un proyecto que me ha encantando de hacer y que me llevo un montón de horas Pero con su resultado tan bonito valió totalmente la pena. Necesitaba hacer una caja de regalo original para dar un regalo, quería hacer algo diferente para regalar a mi amiga en su cumple, pero no tenía ni idea de que hacer, entre las cositas que iba a regalar estaba una camisa de Vincent van Gogh y un llavero de la obra de los girasoles y la noche estrellada, así que pensé en usar esa temática para hacer la caja, para que todo combinará en conjunto , así que con eso en mente , vi que materiales tenía disponibles ,un poco de cartulina plateada metalizada, y para aprovecharla la cantidad de material hice la caja en forma de cilindro,aquí abajo les dejo las imágenes del paso a paso para que hagan el suyo también.

Hello fellow crafters and artisans, how have you been? How are you spending these days? Today I want to share a project that I absolutely loved making, even though it took me a lot of hours. But the beautiful result made it totally worth it. I needed to make an original gift box for a present. I wanted to make something different for my friend's birthday, but I had no idea what to make. Among the things I was going to give her were a Vincent van Gogh shirt and a keychain of his Sunflowers and Starry Night paintings, so I thought I'd use that theme for the box so that everything would match. With that in mind, I looked at the materials I had available: some metallic silver cardstock. To make the most of the material, I made the box in the shape of a cylinder. #1 Primero medí el largo de la cartulina que tenia disponible para aprovecharla bien, me salio un rectángulo de 49 cm de largo x 23 cm de ancho, marqué 1 cm a lo largo tanto superior como inferior para que me diera la pestaña que doblare hacia adentro para hacer los bordes, este mismo borde le hice pequeños cortes para que se pudiera doblar la cartulina con facilidad

**#2 Saqué dos círculos grandes de 15,5 y 15 cm de diámetro el más grande será la tapa y el otro el fondo de la caja. Luego corté dos círculos más en la cartulina plateada guiandome del mismo tamaño pero dando un borde de unos 0,4 cm para hacer cortes en el borde que me permitan doblar la cartulina y dos círculos más en cartulina gruesa . #2 I cut out two large circles, 15.5 cm and 15 cm in diameter. The larger one will be the lid and the smaller one the bottom of the box. #3 Sin armar el cilindro si no aún como un rectángulo, extendí la cartulina y me puse a pintar, usé la imagen de la noche estrellada primero haciendo la siluetas con pintura blanca y rellenandolas , trate de hacer las figuras como si estuviera repitiendo el diseño varias veces, una vez que secó apliqué otra capa con pintura blanca, de esta manera tendría un fondo unicolor para aplicar encima la pintura y que se vea muy nítido. Luego empecé a pintar con agregando las formas negras, las montañas, y las luces y lunas amarillas y destellos. Espere a que está capa secara y volví a pintar otra capa de nuevo para mayor nitidez. Una vez seco seguí está vez con cielo , para esto use varios tonos de azul que le dán ese toque icónico de la noche estrellada, lo hice haciendo pequeños trazos imitando corrientes de aire .Una vez seco sí use el blanco que es el que termina el efecto de destellos y que se entremezclan las pinturas con los demas detalles , la idea es dejar algunos espacios entre la pintura, cosas que cuando notes más de cerca la caja puedes ver cómo el fondo es plateado y da ese efecto medio metálico/holográfico.

I used the image of the starry night, first outlining the shapes with white paint and filling them in. I tried to make the shapes as if I were repeating the design several times. Then I started painting, adding the black shapes, the mountains, and the yellow lights, moons, and sparkles. I waited for this layer to dry and then painted another layer for greater sharpness. Once dry, I continued with the sky. For this, I used various shades of blue to give it that iconic starry night feel. I did this by making small strokes, imitating air currents. Once dry, I used white, which completes the sparkle effect and blends the paints with the other details. The idea is to leave some spaces between the paintwork, things that when you look more closely at the box you can see how the background is silver and gives that sort of metallic/holographic effect.

**#4 Corté tiras de la cartulina plateada de unos 45 CM de largo y de 3cm , de modo que marqué 0,5 cm en un borde arriba y un borde inferior , y dejando en medio 2cm de grosor y para darle más soporte le pegué al reverso unas tiras de cartulina de 2 cm. Teniendo está tira larga , corté las pestañitas de los bordes al círculo de cartulina más gruesa, y en el borde inferior doblé esa pestaña hacia adentro ,de manera que quedará mas bonito el acabado.Para terminar la tapa le abrí dos agujeros con una tijera al círculo de cartulina gruesa para allí poner las asas de la caja, saque una tira de cinta de razo y posicioné el círculo pintado encima para hacer los agujeros a la misma altura y pasar la cinta por allí, luego le pegué encima el círculo de cartulina pintada guiandome por el dibujo para que quedara bien , aqui para tener un mejor borde y acabado, primero hice pequeños cortes en todo el borde del círculo plateado y luego los doble hacia adentro de esta manera quedará un borde más prolijo. En la parte interna de la tapa , aseguré las asas pegándole una cartulina encima.

#5 Luego de que secó la cartulina pintada ,empecé a pegar los soportes es decir las tiras que corté en la parte del reverso de la cartulina, y con papel bond forré toda la parte que quedaría interna para que no se vieran estos soportes. Y con el círculo de cartulina gruesa que me quedó ,lo usé para el fondo, pegando la pestaña inferior que hice al círculo y armando este cilindro con fondo.Luego corté un círculo de cartulina plateada del mismo tamaño para que quedara mas bonito, y tapé el borde con cinta de razo azul como la que use para el asa, de esta manera me asegure que quedara mas protegido el fondo y no se despegará fácilmente. También al borde superior decidí agregarle un borde con la misma cinta para que tuviera mejor acabado y durabilidad. Es importante que mientras se está armando el cilindro se mida con la tapa ya que tiene que encajar bien. Con otro retazo de cinta hice un lazo y lo pegué en medio del borde de la tapa para identificar la parte delantera. **

Este sería el resultado, a mi me parece una hermosura con muchos detalles, la idea de hacerlo era tener una cajita de regalos original ,pero al mismo tiempo que pudiera usarse para guardar cosas y como decoración. Me encantó como quedaron los detalles pintados a mano con el.estilo.de van Gogh, y el efecto holográfico, estoy deseando ahorrar un poco para comprar más cartulinas metalizadas y poner a pintar otras imágenes a ver cómo quedan .
