Applying Pesticides/insecticide to our beans.

Hello Hive

Here is what my work in the farm looked like yesterday. This year I have engaged in series of work in the farm that I have never done before. It is not as if I do not know these things but a labour that is meant to be a Mans work is what I have taken up upon myself to ensure that the work gets done. My daddy is usually the one that does all the spraying of chemicals and all that. You see that tank I'm carrying in my back. It is a 15liters tanks and the weight is a bit too heavy for me. I usually don't have any challenge carrying that amount on my head but backing that that quantity is usually a problem.

Whenever beans have gotten to this stage, we often spray this pesticides and insecticide mixed chemical on the beans to protect the plant and the seed. Pestilence in beans farm is one of the most devastating things that can happen.

Insect or pest can damage the beans both the leaves or seeds leaving us with nothing to harvest. There are local ways we have used in the past but they were not really effective.

This method makes it very very easy. The process is repeated every 2weeks while the beans pods grows and is being harvested. They are moderately hazardous chemicals that protect the beans. I just mixed a stated amount of it based on manufacturers direction. Once properly diluted we spray these on the beans and continue to monitor the farm.

Always remember that after spraying the beans like this, one cannot harvest or eat the green beans as it will not be safe for eating. If anyone desires to eat these particular green beans, they should be harvested before applying any of these insecticides.
