A pleasant afternoon to my friends of in this community. I hope that we are having a very pleasant afternoon.
I got back from church at about noon and had just gotten up from a good nap. I decided to make a dress for an expectant mother. About this time last week she had brought some 3pieces of clothing for me to sew for her and I was able to cut and sew one of them which I posted earlier

Since I have some time left before it gets dark I decide to sew the second one of the dresses.
Expectant mothers should dress in outfits that are free and comfy hence A line design like the one I had made of the first dress is often the best choice.

That is the first of the dresses I made for her.
A line dress do not have to be boring, one can decide to be creative and make different designs on them. Even though they have thesame base cutting the finishing will give unique and beautiful outcomes.

To make this I took her measurements on the fabrics and cut out the front and back block.

Since I wasn't ready to make any boring outfits I measured out a princess line on the dress like this

And thought about the choice of trimmings that will fit best on the outfit.

Next I stitched the trimings on the princess dart lines and the necklines before attaching the sleeves.

The choice of triming was a little task as I didn't have a color that blends with the cloth. I had to introduce a white color on the dress even though I'm not sure if the new color addition matched well on the dress.

The necklines of the dress was turned in with a bias and then

I moved on to add a pleated Portion to the baseline of the outfit.

The pleatings altogether with the triming are the unique features of the dress compared to the other dress I made earlier.

I gave the dress a very nice hemming and the outfit is ready. It's simple yet appealing. She has begged for a simple dress and I just hope that she will love this.
