Unlearning fear and doubt to let the special things into our lives.

Hello friends of Womentribe, I hope you are finishing a week full of learning and growth. I feel that whenever I read @syllem's posts, my perspective opens up to certain things that might be on my mind but haven't found the words to be expressed. This week, she shares a post about those things that, as beings in constant growth, we must start unlearning in order to achieve breakthroughs in our lives.
There are patterns so deeply ingrained in us that sometimes they even seem normal to us, even though they aren't that good or healthy for our well-being. Patterns can be guided by beliefs created from our earliest moments of reasoning up to our present; they can be good things, but the reality is that the negative ones often prevail the most and prevent us from living differently—in the way we think we want to lead our life's path.
Around me, there are all kinds of people who don't always want the best for me, and in those moments, I have allowed their own limitations to hinder me from reaching my potential. It could also be due to a bit of low self-esteem and a lack of protection when I was a child, stemming from my parents' separation—a difficult process that led to unacceptable and even cruel situations, especially coming from people close to us.
Perhaps this made me think that the world was a hard place where you always have to protect yourself and trust no one. There is a lot of uncertainty and mistrust when you grow up with emotional instability and adult problems that ultimately end up affecting you, especially during childhood. This made me more withdrawn and quieter, and while it saved me from certain things, that protection also caused me to miss out on situations that could have turned out well and experiences that might have been wonderful to live through.
Now, as an adult, I have the responsibility to do everything I wish someone had done for me when I lacked the tools to allow myself to grow without fear and so much withdrawal. I can observe in myself that I still find it hard to trust people; I tend to be someone who prefers to get to know people without building bonds of trust. Yet, that is necessary and even healthy for any human being, because we also need others to maintain balance in our lives.

With small steps filled with fear and doubt, I have tried to keep moving forward, allowing myself to experience things as they come. I try to leave past events behind and focus more on what is positive in my present—like being able to live a more proactive life and letting go of the fear of daring to do things that I know fulfill me and make me feel proud of my personal growth. An example of this was resuming my studies; I know it might not seem like something significant to others, but I have so much faith that I will succeed, and nothing I've experienced since starting the program has made me say I can't or caused me to stop.
We are all different, and within our extraordinary possibilities as beings with neuroplasticity, we can always start over as many times as necessary. We can reinvent ourselves every day until we become what we have always admired—something that perhaps was already within us, but just took a little more time to see through the lens of love. 🫶🏽
