We can all change; it’s just that not everyone is willing to do so.

Hello, Holos & Lotus friends, I’m happy to be back here again. As always, I was reading the posts by @emiliorios, especially his latest one in the community. "Change": a word that can lead us to think that it is sometimes necessary to apply it to our lives, but there are also moments when it seems impossible to change certain things about ourselves, especially when they have turned into habits repeated over the years. Will it be possible to change? Maybe yes, maybe no.
Looking at this topic openly, and based on certain experiences I’ve had in my life, change can happen if there is a shift in mindset where we realize that what we are doing isn't good for us or for those around us. It starts with the idea that we are doing something wrong, something that might be holding us back from living a better life. I believe that when this level of analysis occurs within our own consciousness, the possibility opens up to start changing what we no longer like or what no longer does us good.
Change can cause a lot of unease, fear, and even anxiety, because it forces us out of our comfort zone. It doesn't always come with the familiar; many times we have to enter areas we haven't stepped into before or that we didn't want to see out of fear of making decisions. And making decisions doesn't always feel comfortable; I think it’s a process that causes a lot of discomfort, one that not all human beings are prepared for. It’s possible that, even if our body and mind are asking for a change, we stay trapped in routine out of fear of facing reality.
When we want to change something, it often comes after going through difficult processes and moments where we realize we are hurting ourselves by not making certain decisions. I wish it weren't this way and that we didn't have to go through complicated things to become aware of our way of seeing and living life. However, I believe it is something very common in human nature: when pain arrives, metamorphosis and change happen, even if not everyone wishes to do so or become aware of what they might be causing through their actions and mindset.

In my life, I think I’ve let time put things in their place, and although this isn't the best way to live, I think letting time pass has affected me because deep down I didn't want to recognize my reality or make the necessary decisions to be okay. Maybe my life would be different if I had made certain decisions at the right moment instead of taking refuge in the familiar out of fear of change. These are lessons we learn that also leave us with teachings for the rest of our lives.
Changing isn't easy, nor do I think everyone is willing to do it; it’s a very personal decision, something that must be weighed consciously rather than as a product of third-party opinions. There may be examples of people who lived a certain way and managed to change their lives for the better, but it’s something you decide on, not something that just happens on its own. It’s possible that some people live through the discomfort of their actions and still aren't willing to change. Maybe it’s not their time, or they don't have the strength to do it yet. Every person is different, but I believe that when you become aware of the things that can impact you for better or worse, that is when positive change is truly achieved.
