At the Beach

These pictures I had taken a couple of weeks back in Muscat. We had been to the beach one of the evenings. I had reached at around 6, it was almost sunset hour. One thing good about Muscat beaches is that they are always very clean and not crowded, though on this day there was some crowd here. It's probably because now the season is changing and everyone is wanting to experience the start of the winter. People have been fed up of the intense summer of 5 months and being indoors most of the time.

Whenever I go to the beach, I see children playing with such carefree attitude in the sand. Sometimes I too feel like doing that, but then I have so many reservations in my mind. As a child, even I used to play in the sand beach making castles and what not. On growing up, I did it with my Son when he was a baby, but not anymore, and I wonder why not. Then I have 100 thoughts of the mess I would take back home and then I only have to do the cleaning, so better not.

There was nothing dramatic about this evening; the sunset was also ok, and I did not even capture any picture of it. Just the overall vibe, makes it special. In places like these we see all types of people, I like to kind of analyze them, the different emotions that each one is expressing. Some are in deep thoughts, whereas some are having a hearty laugh with their loved ones. Parents with small children are mostly busy running after them.  Each one is having their time in their own way. I am sure if someone just like me, would be looking at me would also be having some thoughts about me.

They do have boat rides also here; I did not do it on this day. Some times me and hubby we do the boat ride and its lot of fun. I prefer doing it in the morning hour. IMG-20261104-WA0027.jpg

    There is something truly therapeutic about watching the sunset and observing people enjoying the seaside vibe. Walking along the shore and soaking in those peaceful moments is the ultimate way to unwind.

    As we grow older, we tend to do fewer of the things we used to enjoy as children, or sometimes stop doing them altogether. The kind of happiness children experience is just different. They can be genuinely happy with the simplest things, even something as ordinary as playing in the sand. Sometimes, I think we adults forget how to find joy in life's little things.

    What a lovely and thought-provoking time you spent at the beach! I really appreciated the way you observe the small, fleeting moments and the various emotions of the people around you. Making an evening memorable doesn’t always require a spectacular sunset or some extraordinary event; sometimes, the atmosphere itself is enough.
