@Indiaunited Contest - Theme: Meeting my younger self

My response to the @Indiaunited Contest Theme-: "If You Could Meet Your Younger Self, What Would You Say?"

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

As we get old, this is something that keeps hitting on us a lot. We keep going down the memory lane of our younger days and thinking, wish I had done this and that. In that time, life is completely different. As such, life keeps changing in all phases of life. As of now I am a younger version of my very older age, and when I would reach that age, I will probably think the same.

Me, in my middle-aged phase, keep thinking sometimes, how I could have lived some of my younger years differently. No regrets as such, but there are some thoughts of how it could have been a little different. In my earlier years, I was careless, impulsive and also lived like as if there was no tomorrow. Then life kept happening and taught me lessons to bring me back on track. But the process was long and it kind of squeezed me. So, I will surely tell me younger self all those things what I know now. Like, Life comes with an expiry date, every moment is precious and most importantly, life is very valuable, there is no point in holding grudges against people, which I did back then For a long time, I lived in a victim mode.

I will tell my younger self, to take it easy, be kind and accept other people's opinion also in life. When something did not happen for me in those days, I blamed the world. So, if I can rewind, I would give that wisdom to my younger self to avoid going through years of drama and living peacefully the way I am now. But then that's what life is all about. 20 years down the line also I will have same thoughts of how I could have done things differently now. Wisdom only comes with life experiences. Also, I am what I am today because of all I was in my younger days. If I was not the way I was then, I would not be the person I am today. I am proud of my younger self in that manner.

As of now looking forward to 20 years down the line and thinking what I will tell myself then, with my current capacity, I think I will tell myself to live life to the fullest, value every moment, be kind to people, forgive and forget and Let Go.

Thank you for visiting my blog. πŸ‘ΌπŸ»πŸ‘ΌπŸ»πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸŒΉπŸŒΊπŸŒΈ

The funny thing about life is that we are always looking forward to the next stage, only to look back later and realise there were things we could have enjoyed more along the way.

When we were younger, we wanted to explore things and enjoy life freely. We did whatever we felt like doing without giving much thought to the consequences. But that's also how we learned, right? We learned valuable lessons from our mistakes and experiences. That's why, as we grow older, we become more careful and thoughtful about our decisions because we now understand that every action has consequences.

  • If I could go back to my childhood, there was no tension at all. No worries about what is right or wrong, just living freely. I really miss those days!

A truly beautiful and thoughtful insight! Life’s experiences offer lessons that no book can ever fully convey. I particularly resonated with the ideas of forgiveness, letting go of resentment, and cherishing every single moment. Often, it is our past mistakes that help shape who we are today. I am truly impressed by your wonderful presentation.

Such a profound and reflective post for the contest! It's so true that our past mistakes and struggles are the exact building blocks of who we are today. If you could give just one piece of advice to your younger self, which specific life lesson do you think would have saved you the most time?
