Before I start with today's blog, I will like to wish everyone a very Happy Diwali. It's Diwali time, the festival of lights and everything is glittery. The best time of the year and my Mumbai city is shining with lights. I love to be in India during this time and luckily this Diwali I am in Mumbai with family. Hubby was not getting a long leave so he took 2 days leave along with the weekend and made it to Mumbai to celebrate the festival. October end is normally the time when I travel to Mumbai, after many years I am celebrating the Diwali day in Mumbai, else 1 or 2 days prior I travel back to Muscat to be with hubby. I do not like that he spends days like these alone.
We were at one of the Malls in the city for some Diwali shopping and just to spend leisure time. I was amazed to see the decor; it really feels like there is a festival going on. In Muscat also we do home celebrations but the vibe overall in the city is missing. Back home, not only the home is shining, but the whole city is shining, or rather I can say whole country. You step out of your home and you see lights everywhere. The markets are full; everyone is out for shopping. There are crazy deals online and offline available. It's larger than life size in these days.
This particular mall that I visited, every year they have a theme decor during Diwali. This year the theme is "The Artisan's Touch" It's a celebration of Indian handicrafts and Indian artisans. That's why they have used hands in all the decor.
This is one of the most magnificent displays, where the hands are shown making leather sandals, and another one painting a Diya.
Hands making pottery
Hands doing embroidery
And other Diwali decors
It's all about celebrating the hands that make India.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
