I wasn't supposed to meet my younger self until tomorrow. I must have made a mistake; I miscalculated when activating the time machine. That is the only explanation. I was supposed to appear on September 15th, but I arrived prematurely—a day early...
This is supposed to be the day I discovered the time machine, but my younger self saw me coming out of the basement and ran off. That means a paradox has occurred; I have interfered with history... And yet... I haven't vanished.
I supposedly changed the course of history, yet I still exist, even though my younger self didn't discover the time machine the way I did... That must mean the space-time paradox I feared so much doesn't exist; it means that two people—despite being the same person—can interact within the flow of space and time.
