Liverpool agree £120m deal for Bradley Barcola after breakthrough talks with PSG
It's not locked in yet but it looks like Liverpool are joining the summer spending spree. A quality player and one that they badly need but at £120M it seems excessive for a player that hasn't been doing it year in year out and won't solve all of the issues that Liverpool are looking at this year.
The transfer deadline is on Tuesday so any deal that needs to be made will have to be sorted quickly and i can see a few more big moves left in the transfer window.
It's already been a record window with some crazy numbers but this one was unexpected.
There is still time for Liverpool to bulk up a few ore positions. Alveraz to Arsenal maybe? And United to panic buy two more defenders before Tuesday.
Arsenal are probably in the best position after winning the league and almost doubling up with the Champions league as well. Their team is solid and young enough to go again so they don't need too much more.
Chelsea need to offload a lot of weak players while Liverpool need to strengthen up across the whole lineup.
United need two defenders especially a left back and probably a center back if they can. While City are going to be in unknow territory with some top class players but in their weakest position in a long, long time.
It will be interesting to see how the teams go at the weekend after a few strange results from the opening weekend before we get a full picture of what the teams will look like for the year.
