How Much Truth Is Behind These Food Warnings?

Recently, I started hearing that bread is not a healthy food at all, and we should stay away from consuming bread regularly. It was as if once I open my social media feed, especially Facebook, those motivational speakers without certificates will appear from nowhere and start speaking.

I don't know if they are just looking for traffic and more comments and likes on their pages, but for some reason, I have not bothered to research more on this claim but have kept on shopping for more breads, lol.

One thing about me and Bread is that we are like inseparable twins, and it will pain me to finally find out that their claim is right after all. Unlike me, who is very intentional about my health and what I consume, I have intentionally decided to play a deaf ear on this one.

Come to think of it, I have been eating bread since I was born, and nothing had happened to me. Why now? Like, why now that I have loved bread so much that I hardly go a day without it that they are bringing these rumors?

The truth is that many things we consume in this era are not healthy, especially the likes of processed foods. Recently, my husband gave a strict warning that I should stop buying noddles in our home for consumption; he heard that they cause cancer and embraced the info for safety reasons . It's over two months now without noddles in my home. Now I am praying silently that he doesn't hear a word about bread because how can I deal with this one? lol

My favorite kind of snack, or should I call it food? Because even at midnight when I feel hungry, I will sneak into my kitchen to eat bread and tea or bread with butter. It has been a lifesaver, but I will do try to do some research on this claim.

...But before then, have you ever heard that bread is not a healthy food? 🤔😩..just curious!

Haha, I think the problem isn't the bread itself, but rather how much we eat and the kind of bread we choose 😂🍞 These days, social media can make almost anything seem dangerous. It’s always best to check information from reliable sources before believing all the health claims you see online. Enjoy your bread, but don’t forget that balance is key

had the same issue with bread (I was very loyal to it) till reputable doctors i listened to said it became glucose anyway with all the problems this causes, had fatty liver at the time (5 years ago) and stopped eating it so i did with supermarket juices and BINGO, fatty liver was gone after 1 year .

Momma, you can decide to start making your own bread if you begin to doubt the credibility of nowadays breads. Because honestly, their claims are right to a good extent. Maybe not all the bread produced are like that but personally, I've found one I should avoid.

A bread that never goes bad? Run o! 😂

  • I've already sworn off commercial breads and switched to verifiable natural breads with no more than 4 ingredients, or bake it myself. Most dangerous are flours that are contaminated with Glycophosphates, a by-product of an insecticide called Roundup that is a known carcinogen, and most brands will not source their flour.

Social media wellness gurus are the absolute worst for this kind of panic. Honestly I would keep eating it too because giving up midnight bread and tea sounds way too depressing. 🌹
