Para finalizar con esta publicaciones dedicadas al municipio San Francisco el lugar en donde residuo hace más de 27 años qué es el municipio más joven del estado Zulia y de Venezuela este se encuentra ubicado justamente a las orillas del Lago de Maracaibo al ser el municipio más joven, también es el más pequeño pero que tiene un gran potencial de comercio de crecimiento y desparción, tiene muchos lugares emblemáticos que no podemos dejar pasar por alto, así como también es considerado una fuente de la industria petrolera.
To conclude this series of posts dedicated to the municipality of San Francisco — the place where I have lived for over 27 years — which is the youngest municipality in the state of Zulia and in Venezuela, it is situated right on the shores of Lake Maracaibo; as the youngest municipality, it is also the smallest, but it has great potential for trade, growth and development; it boasts many iconic landmarks that we cannot overlook, as well as being regarded as a nerve centre of the oil industry.
Ahora bien se ha preguntarán por qué este lugar se llama San Francisco y es por la innumerable afluencia Franciscana, que se encontraba en el lugar es decir la presencia de muchos sacerdotes franciscano es por eso que se llama San Francisco como tributo especial a esta orden religiosa, al santo San Francisco de Asís, es por eso que aquí lo podemos encontrar en una imagen bastante grande en uno de los sectores más reconocidos del municipio como lo es la avenida 40.
Now, you may be wondering why this place is called San Francisco. It is because of the countless Franciscans who used to be based here that is to say, the presence of many Franciscan priests. That is why it is called San Francisco, as a special tribute to this religious order and to Saint Francis of Assisi, which is why we can see a rather large statue of him here in one of the town’s most famous areas, namely Avenida 40.
Así como también la plaza cultural de Juan de Dios Martínez, también es un municipio que cuenta con su propio servicio de terminal terrestre el cual permite conectar este municipio, con otros estados cercas del occidente así como también otros más que le permita a las personas poderse desplazar a otros lugares con precio totalmente solidarios es un terminal bastante acogedor y moderno.
As well as the Juan de Dios Martínez cultural square, this municipality also has its own coach station, which connects it with other nearby states in the west, as well as others further afield, enabling people to travel to other destinations at very affordable prices; it is a very welcoming and modern coach station.
También en importante hacer el énfasis en esta publicación que visité la cabecera del puente general Rafael Urdaneta, que muchas veces se cree que al pasarlo te encuentras directamente con Maracaibo y no es así pues justamente tengo encuentras es con el municipio San Francisco ya que es la punta de entrada de este lugar hacia el resto de los otros municipios del estado Zulia.
It is also important to emphasise in this post that I visited the entrance to the General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge, which is often thought to lead directly into Maracaibo once you cross it; however, this is not the case, as it actually leads into the municipality of San Francisco, as this is the gateway from there to the rest of the municipalities in the state of Zulia.
Así como también pude recorrer las más hermosas vistas que tiene el municipio de San Francisco pues desde sus distintas perspectivas puedes observar la majestuosidad del gran Lago de Maracaibo, así como la gran infraestructura del puente General Rafael Urdaneta, ya que la mayoría de algunos barrios o lugares de San Francisco están a las orillas del Lago de Maracaibo, donde también abundan diversas empresas petroleras y de otro índole.
I was also able to take in the most beautiful views the municipality of San Francisco has to offer, as from various vantage points you can admire the majesty of the great Lake Maracaibo, as well as the impressive structure of the General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge; this is because most of San Francisco’s neighbourhoods and other areas are situated on the shores of Lake Maracaibo, where there is also a wealth of oil companies and businesses of other kinds.
Por último también visité la iglesia al santísimo Cristo la cual se encuentra también en la avenida principal de San Francisco, pero más cercana del sector el bajo una hermosa y iglesia con un arquitectura realmente impresionante, espero que con esta publicación mis queridos viajeros hayan permitido conocer más de este lugar me despido hasta una próxima publicación.
Finally, I also visited the Church of the Holy Christ, which is also situated on the main avenue in San Francisco, but closer to the El Bajo neighbourhood – a beautiful church with truly impressive architecture.
