Justamente caminando por el sector en el que vivo llamado Manzanillo caminé durante varias horas bajo el sol para tomar fotos enfrente del Lago de Maracaibo, pude percatarme en la zona del mirador todas aquellas viejas embarcaciones totalmente abandonadas, en el pasado era una industria para la explotación del petróleo entre otros más pero todo se ha quedado en el olvido pues estos muelles están totalmente solitarios hace algunos años pude venir a visitarlo y puedo decir que ahora los veo con mejor aspecto es decir como si tuvieran invirtiéndose en ellos.
Whilst walking through the neighbourhood where I live, called Manzanillo, I walked for several hours in the sun taking photos overlooking Lake Maracaibo, and at the viewpoint I noticed all those old, completely abandoned boats. In the past, this was an area of oil extraction, amongst other things, but it has all been forgotten, as these quays have been completely deserted. A few years ago I came to visit, and I can say that they now look better – as if money were being invested in them.
La más maravillosa de este lugar es la gran vista que tiene pues puedes ver muy de cerquita la majestuosidad del puente sobre el Lago de Maracaibo, precisamente por este lugar estaba buscando la Bahía Kapui, ya que ofrece una maravilla vista, pero no pude encontrarla entonces aproveché justamente las alturas desde un cerro, para tomar estas fotografías y me encantó la belleza que hemos ofrecía el lago pues simplemente es un lugar impresionante.
The most wonderful thing about this place is the magnificent view it offers, as you can see the majestic bridge over Lake Maracaibo up close. It was precisely from this spot that I was looking for Kapui Bay, as it offers a marvellous view, but I couldn’t find it, so I made the most of the vantage point from a hill to take these photographs, and I was captivated by the beauty the lake had to offer – it really is a breathtaking place.
Existen innumerables barcos totalmente abandonados oxidados en desuso algunos estos muelles fueron tomados para ser parte de la policía, entre otros pero precisamente lo veo en un mejor estado este lugar es bastante tranquilo desolado en donde puedes ver y observar e imaginar todos lo que esto en tiempos anteriores fue una gran industria impresionante para todos, pero ya solo es un recuerdo de ayer que esperamos dentro de algunos años pueda volver a hacer lo que era antes y haga crecer este lugar.
There are countless completely abandoned, rusting, disused ships; some of these docks have been taken over by the police, amongst others, but I actually find this place to be in better condition. It is quite a quiet, desolate spot where you can look around, observe and imagine what this once was: a huge, impressive industry for everyone, but now it is just a memory of the past. We hope that, in a few years’ time, it can return to what it once was and help this place to flourish.
Una de las cosas que siempre me ha gustado es poder ver el lago porque siento que es una grandiosa fuente de paz, me permite dejar de pensar tanto conectar, reflexionar, meditar, es una aventura bastante interesante pues es encontrar la belleza desde lo simple y siento que el lugar, en donde vivo tiene mucha belleza natural que aunque otras personas no puedan apreciarla, yo sí lo hago y lo agradezco el recorrido fue bastante productivo pues pude visitar muchos lugares y tomar bastante fotografías para todos ustedes.
One of the things I’ve always loved is being able to look out over the lake, because I feel it’s a wonderful source of peace; it allows me to stop overthinking, to connect, reflect and meditate. It’s quite an interesting experience, as it’s about finding beauty in simplicity, and I feel that the place where I live has so much natural beauty that, even though other people might not appreciate it, I certainly do, and I’m grateful for it. The trip was quite productive as I was able to visit lots of places and take plenty of photographs for all of you.
