A Monday of visits, a date for husband and wife, and excellent fettuccine./Un lunes de visitas, una cita para marido y mujer y unos fettuccine excelentes.

Good evening, blog friends—how are you? I wasn't around yesterday, so here I am to tell you what I got up to. My husband still isn't well, so we had to seek out a professional to help with his stress issues. We headed to Pescia, and naturally, I took the opportunity to snap some photos—both of the old town and the newer area, which featured some interesting murals and charming houses in need of renovation. The professional prescribed a treatment plan involving both medication and therapy for my husband to follow over the coming months; let's hope for the best. Just as I was starting to feel a bit better mentally, he fell ill; unfortunately, work-related stress is a significant issue. His mood had also taken a hit because he’s dealing with back problems and a hernia. That said, the professional seemed excellent—kind and understanding—and explained the treatment plan very clearly. My husband was very anxious about the appointment, but fortunately, he handled it well; he didn't let his anxiety take over and spoke calmly with the professional. Still, he was a bit drained afterward, so we decided to treat ourselves to a little "mini-date" to relax before he started the medication. Just a chance to unwind, take it easy, and have a casual chat about lighthearted things.

To lift our spirits, we decided to go grab a cold beer at a spot near our place—a simple, charming little venue with a few small palm trees and outdoor tables. I dressed up a bit for the occasion and even put on lipstick; I don't usually wear it for running errands, but when I go out, I like to wear some makeup. I love red lipstick—in fact, I have several shades of red. It was a bit cooler in the evening, and we had a lovely time; we drank our beer and talked about our plans for the coming days, as well as simpler things like the TV series we want to watch or the recipes and restaurants we want to try. It’s nice to have a "couple's date" every now and then, stepping away from the routine and the myriad challenges of adult life. Once we got home, I decided to cook something simple but delicious. I had some egg fettuccine—I absolutely love egg fettuccine and tagliatelle—and a really good ready-made tomato sauce. Of course, I sautéed some aromatics first to make the sauce even tastier, and finished it off with a generous grating of Parmesan cheese. It was a simple yet tasty dinner. All in all, it was a pleasant day, despite the appointments. Anyway, I’ll say goodbye for now, blog friends—I’m off to cook tonight’s dinner.

  • You look so gorgeous, dear 😍 and the fettuccine makes me craving right now 😀
