"Three for Trouble" is a movie that can actually pass a message to you.
No matter how much we try to run from the past, unresolved secrets can follow us, and sometimes truth and forgiveness are what help us move forward.
There are three sisters in the family: Naomi, the firstborn, Deborah, the secondborn, and Keziah, the last one. Actually, all these sisters have different characters and personalities. This movie seems very real.
Naomi, the first one, was a very dedicated child of God. Everything she did was concerning the will of God. She was so, so dedicated to the things of God. She preached to people around, but there’s a statement that says, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” This is exactly what happened to Naomi. She had no respect at all from her siblings. They did not honor her, and she went about preaching to people around the town.
Meanwhile, her sister, the last born, was a prostitute. She went about following men all over the town and disgracing the family. Naomi almost every single day preached to her about her life, but she didn’t listen. She always did what she wanted.
And the secondborn, Deborah, she was just like a man, dressing exactly like a man. Every one of her clothes was just like men's clothes.
And all they were doing was because of a secret which was hidden in them for a long period of time. This is why it is very important to face our problems, not to hide them. Deborah hid a secret for so long that it made her behave the way she was behaving.
The movie also teaches me the importance of trying to understand people's circumstances rather than judging them immediately, because people just judge them, not knowing what led them to their attitude.
So, just imagine these three people living in the same family. There are problems almost every day in the family to solve, and their mother was even tired of their attitude and wasn't feeling too well. Their mother tried as much as possible to make sure they all unite and become a peaceful family, but secrets and unforgiven that were hidden in all the sisters' hearts couldn't make them unite.
Things that happened before can shape the present, but confronting them can be the beginning of healing. So, this is how they decided to reveal what had been bothering them, and that was the beginning of their healing.
