From a New Perspective: Photos in the Mangrove Forest (Eng/Esp)

English version

My curiosity urged me to keep exploring the western end of Maigualida Beach, but I couldn’t go any further than this point—to do so, I’d have to wade out into the sea, and I didn’t dare take on that challenge: walking through muddy sand and then swimming in dark, unfamiliar waters. Perhaps a boat ride would have solved this problem, or, at the very least, walking along the road and then entering through one of the other access points leading to the beach.

So I had no choice but to return to the resort the same way I’d come. But once again, my pesky friends were waiting to make me run all over again. With my phone in one hand and my shoes in the other, I set off running along the muddy shore, leaping over branches and logs like an athlete navigating an obstacle course. The ringing in my ears was exasperating; I was on the verge of giving up and dropping my shoes to free one hand and shoo away these insects. However, I managed to reach safety with a nervous laugh on my face.
