Going All Out For The Black Foils & Arcanes

Last week's weekly fortune draw has just ended yesterday. Unfortunately, I did not win any of the premium cards, but I expected as much, given I only entered 227 entries in the last draw.

But for this season, I was planning to go all out in gathering Fortune entries. This is because there were only approximately 5 draws remaining before all the remaining Black and Arcane Foils were completely distributed. After that, the next time there will be premium foil prizes again is when the next batch of reward cards is released, but that will come after the next set, Battle Of Praetoria, is released.

As we all know, the only way to get premium foil reward cards without directly buying them was through participating in the Weekly Fortune Draws, and to participate, players will need to have Fortune Entries for a chance to win special foils! These Fortune Entries can neither be crafted nor bought. It was also soulbound, so you can't transfer them, and unless you use them, they will expire within the week that they were claimed, so you can't really hoard them and enter them all in a single draw.

At the same time, you need to buy a Fortune pass to participate in the draw, which costs 125 DEC. Since there were only 5 draws remaining, I have also gone all out and purchased 5 Fortune Passes, so I do not have to buy them every week.

Now, when it comes to the Fortune Entries, the simplest and most common way that you can get them is by playing either Modern or Wild Ranked matches. Does not matter which, and you can even play both to get more entries, so long as you win the required number of matches to unlock the Fortune Entries. That said, the number of entries that a player can get depends on the amount of SPS staked on their account. Right now, I have more than 200k SPS staked in my account, which entitles me to 8 Fortune Entries for each claim, but by renting another 50k SPS, that will go up to 12, and by renting another 250k SPS, that will go up to 16 Fortune Entries. Of course, having more SPS staked will also increase the amount of Glint and SPS that I can get in battle.

By advancing league, you can get a League Advancement Chest, which also contains Fortune Entry, so the more leagues you advance, the more entries you can get.

But let's say that you have already reached Champion I, and can no longer advance in League, You can still acquire Fortune Entries through the Loot chest in the Glint shop, though after the first batch, the price of the chest will increase by 50%.

Another way of earning Fortune Entries was through playing Survival Mode. You just need to win at least 50 games, and if you do, you will earn 25 Entries at the end of the season. Playing Survival Mode also allows you to earn more Glint, and if you have played at least more than 100 battles, you also become eligible for the Survival leaderboard to earn more Glint and the Extra card reward, as well as the chance to participate in the Ascension Tournament.

Finally, you can also use your Glint to purchase Fortune Entries at the Glint shop for 2,000 Glint each, for a maximum of 10 in a batch. After that, the succeeding batch will have a 50% price increase, so better watch out for your Glint Spending.

And those were all the means to acquire Fortune Entries. Right now, I am planning to increase my SPS stake to 500k to have 48 Fortune Entries a day, and to win at least 50 matches in Survival Mode to get an additional 25 entries at the end of the season. Right now, I am in Champion III, so I still have 2 leagues to climb to get the league advancement chest, and buying Chests is something I always do because it also allows me to level my reward cards.
