Hello hivers, an happy Thursday to you all! Another hot day of August here, but there are some clouds on the sky and so I spent a part of the morning in my backyard, taking care of the plants and cleaning around while my furry friends were playing around my plum tree. 😊 Some days ago my friend Elena asked me to paint a tiny portrait of a giraffe similar to a one I painted weeks ago in a larger size and a tiny portrait of an elephant, everything in my own illustrative style. When she asked me to paint them it was too hot to work in a comfortable way, so I had to wait the weather was a little cooler and finally, after the rain of the past days, now it's the right time.
This morning, as usual, I woke up soon to work on those new artworks during the first hours of the day and I just finished to paint the giraffe so I can show you the final result:
It's an oil colors painting on 200 gsm paper in A6 size (the size of a common postal card) and, as usual, I took some pics while I was painting it so you can see the process too:
I sent the pics of this tiny portrait to my friend Elena and she loves it! Now I have to work on the portrait of an elephant so soon I'll show that second piece with you.
