Scamming is the act of deceiving, tricking, or defrauding someone to illegally steal their money, property, or sensitive personal information. Scammers often use false promises, fake identities, or manipulated emotional triggers to gain trust. Sending fake messages or emails that look genuine, False business ventures or fake trading platforms, Callers pretending to be tech support, police officers, or tax authorities demanding urgent payments are some of the way to truck people. Avoiding these scams gets too difficult for common individuals. The modern fraudsters exploit human psychology, use advanced technology like artificial intelligence, and run well-funded operations to make people prey of the scams.
Fooled me once, but never again.
My first experience with scams begin with MLM. The so called Multi-level marketing (MLM) is one of the popular scam technique. It is considered a scam because the business model relies heavily on recruiting new members rather than selling actual goods to real consumers. Recruiters use fake or staged displays of wealth like rented luxury cars, photoshopped checks, and high pressure motivational rallies to trap vulnerable individuals into a cycle of false hope. People easily get trapped in the false claims and laid by the MLM. I was one of them but soon realize the scams it involves in the longer term. I feel lucky to get out of it before I could harm myself.
I believe many indians have dealt with street scams that were running in India. Street scams in India typically rely on emotional manipulation, fake urgency, manufactured emergencies, or staged diversions. Common tricks include fake charity donation drives, milk-for-baby scams, staged vehicle breakdowns, and inflated taxi or rickshaw fares. My friend once lost Rs.100 in a gambling game played on the street. But later he realised that the group of people scammed him through their sharp intelligence. After fooling my friend they went away from that place together. Learning about all these tricks in place on the street through different sources I remain alert to avoid being laid. And thankfully I never fall prey to these tricks. But I was fooled by a scamster during my crypto journey and lost $300 to a false telegram group.

Modern scams are run by structured, transnational criminal syndicates that treat fraud like a business. Scams reach people across everyday platforms like social media, messaging apps, and text services where users drop their guard. Criminals use artificial intelligence to clone voices, generate fake video calls, and craft hyper-realistic phishing messages or QR codes that look authentic. The golden logic to avoid scammers is to stop, pause, and verify. It is one of the most effective ways to avoid a scam. Scammers rely heavily on artificial panic, intense pressure, and a false sense of urgency. Stopping to catch your breath breaks their psychological grip and gives your logical brain time to spot red flags. Being constantly alert is best way to avoid being fooled by scammers. Also keep yourself aware and well inform3d about all the possible tricks that were played by the scammers to fool others. Our awareness and alertness is the best way to keep safe.
In good faith - Peace
