Description

#running #movember #teamuk #sportstalk #proofofbrain We did not do anything special for Halloween as our kids are grown up and not at home, but I expect there were lots of people out last night. Today I could see more of the decorations. I saw one house with a massive skeleton rising out of the garden. I have seen some comments about these fake webs being bad for wildlife so I hope people remove them all soon. This has become a very commercial event with lots of plastic junk being sold. The actual pumpkins are not so bad as those will just rot down.

I have a couple of challenges in November. At work we have Move-mber where we compete to clock up hours of activity to raise money for our charity. I would be out running anyway, but I will log some walks too. It has been done on distance previously, but that gives the cyclists an advantage.

The other challenge is NaPodPoMo (National Podcast Post Month) where you aim to do a podcast for every day of the month. I have tried this before. I did have a podcast about making music a while back and I may revive that. It looks like the 3speak platform is viable for doing podcasts these days so I will try that.

The actual run was pretty good. I was feeling a bit tired when I got up despite sleeping well. I think my parkrun yesterday left me drained. It was just a matter of keeping going today and I did a long version of my usual loop. It was damp and misty out there, but not actually raining. I saw quite a few runners out there. I also saw a parkrun friend with the dog she walks.

It took me a while to get going, but then the pace was okay. I was not trying for speed. It is definitely autumnal out there with lots of fallen leaves. My podcast listening was a mixture of science and politics. I will try to catch some of the other NaPodPoMo shows this month. @epodcaster on Hive has been pushing this for years.

Enjoy your Sunday and run free!

Waooo 13 k te felicito ..buena carrera ..

  • You were right back out there today! Outstanding!!

New Hampshire goes all out for Halloween decorations. I’m sure the town name of Salem gives it an extra push, even though the infamous witch trials were in Salem, Massachusetts, about 35 miles from us.

I’m taking part and just released my first one and the rest will all fall into place. I used the built in recorder on my iPhone for today’s episode.

I worry about the amount of products being sold today that have a very short lifespan. Used for barely a few hours and then binned. This cannot be good.
