Hello to all members of this community and cat lovers! Every day that passes, my feline niece Cleo (Cleopatra) is growing up, but her mischievous streak remains unchanged. What she loves most is keeping an eye on everything in the kitchen. No matter what, she patiently waits for one of us to be won over by her cute face and give her something delicious to eat. Spoiler alert: we don't, haha. Well, this morning I did give in and gave her a little bit of sardines, but generally, I try not to give her human food, especially since cat bowls are always overflowing with kibble.
😽 Cleo loves to lean on chairs ✨
Cleo is so clever that she often positions herself next to me while I'm eating. At first, she was looking for the first opportunity to approach. But she doesn't do that anymore. At least she knows how to hide it. She lies down next to me, very close to my plate, and pretends to be asleep (sometimes she actually falls asleep). When she realizes I've finished eating, she retreats. I find it very adorable, especially because she ends up going to eat croquettes defeated, haha.

When she's not looking for food, she loves to play. She usually teases Ying, the older cat, although sometimes Ying isn't in the mood or is asleep. It's in those moments that Cleo has to improvise her entertainment, and she seems to be an expert at it. If she's not playing with the toys on the floor, she's exploring the apartment. At first, I was alarmed to see her climbing or getting into certain places, but now I just leave her alone... until something makes me jump out of my chair to see what she's thrown on the floor, haha.

She also loves to bask in the sun by the window and even climb the plastic screen. Although, the cloudy weather of the last few days has made climbing on the window less appealing. Now, sleeping will always be on her list, like any good feline. I love watching her sleep. Unlike Ying, who is limited by his chubby build, Cleo is much more flexible, and it shows when she assumes extravagant positions to relax. She really enjoys being petted when she's dozing; I know because she lets me and starts purring very loudly.

Despite how mischievous she can be, I love to hold her and cuddle her, that's why I call her my baby, no matter how big she's getting or the accidental scratches she gives me with her claws haha 😸

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de los gatos! Cada día que pasa, mi sobrina gatuna Cleo (Cleopatra), va creciendo, pero sus deseos de ser traviesa, permanecen intactos. Lo que más le gusta, es estar pendiente de cualquier movimiento en la cocina. Sin importar lo que pase, ella espera con paciencia que alguno de nosotros se sienta vencido por su linda carita y le dé algo delicioso para comer, spoiler: no lo hacemos jaja bueno, esta mañana si cedí y le dí un poquito de sardinas, pero por lo general, trato de no darle comida humana, más porque los platos de los gatos, siempre están rebosantes de croquetas.
😽 Cleo adora apoyarse en las sillas ✨
Cleo es tan astuta que, suele colocarse a mi lado mientras estoy comiendo. Al principio, buscando la primera oportunidad para acercarse. Pero, ya no lo hace. Al menos, sabe disimular. Se acuesta a un lado de mi, muy cerca de mi plato y se hace la dormida (a veces, hasta se duerme de verdad). Cuando se da cuenta de que he terminado de comer, se retira. Me parece muy adorable y más porque acaba yendo derrotada a comer croquetas jaja.

Cuando no está buscando comida, le encanta jugar. Por lo general, le saca fiesta a Ying, el gato más grande, aunque a veces Ying no está de ánimos para jugar o está dormido. Es en esos instantes en que Cleo tiene que improvisar su diversión y parece ser experta en ello. Si no se pone a jugar con los juguetes que moran en el suelo, se pone a explorar el apartamento. Al principio, me alarmaba de verla subirse o meterse en ciertos lugares, pero ahora simplemente la dejo tranquila... hasta que suene algo que me levante de la silla a ver qué lanzó al suelo jaja.

También le gusta llevar sol en la ventana y hasta escalar la malla plástica de la misma. Aunque, el clima nublado de los últimos días ha hecho que subirse en la ventana, no sea tan de su agrado. Ahora, dormir siempre estará en su lista, como buena felina. Me encanta verla dormir. A diferencia de Ying, que está limitado por su contextura rechoncha, Cleo es mucho más flexible y se nota a la hora de tomar posiciones extravagantes para relajarse. Le gusta mucho que la acaricien cuando está adormilada, lo sé porque se deja y comienza a ronronear muy fuerte.

A pesar de lo traviesa que pueda llegar a ser, me gusta cargarla y mimarla, por eso digo que es mi bebesa, sin importar lo grande que ya se vea o las heridas que me ocasione accidentalmente con sus garras jaja 😸
