Hello everyone in this community! Last weekend I had the opportunity to participate in the Eje del buen vivir market. I received the invitation at the beginning of the month and was very happy to go, since the first day was my birthday. Other people might have preferred not to go and stay home to celebrate, but I was the complete opposite, haha. Besides, my family usually got off work in the evening, so I loved the idea of spending the day showing and selling my products.
On the first day, I wore an outfit that coordinated with my birthday cake, which was themed around a very colorful TV show. I was also excited because I had prepared several new products for the occasion, such as felt pins, keychains, necklaces, and more plush kittens. I made a few sales that day, and a gentleman gave me some grasshoppers made of dried leaves, which I took good care of until I got home.

On Sunday, I wasn't feeling very well, as I was a bit under the weather, mixed with the tiredness from the day before. Even so, I managed to keep my spirits up and not fall asleep, haha. Sales were much better than the day before, and I received another gift: a little bag full of beautiful buttons that I hope to use for my creations. Also, once again, I almost sold all my plush kittens! I need to make more for the next bazaar!

Having the opportunity not only to create, but also to interact with the public who are drawn to what I do, is a wonderful feeling. It gives me so much confidence and encourages me to continue with my business. In the past, when I worked for other people, I always imagined how people would react when they bought my creations. So, being able to see it with my own eyes is a benefit that we artisans value immensely 💚

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad! El pasado fin de semana tuve la oportunidad de participar en el mercadillo del Eje del buen vivir. Había recibido la invitación a inicios de mes y me alegré bastante, ya que el primer día, sería mi cumpleaños. Otras personas hubieran preferido no ir y quedarse a celebrar en casa, pero yo fui todo lo contrario jaja además que por lo general, mis familiares se desocuparían en la noche, por lo que me encantaba la idea de pasar el día mostrando y vendiendo mis productos.
El primer día, llevé un outfit que combinase un poco con mi pastel de cumpleaños, el cual estaba ambientado en una serie que es muy colorida. Estaba algo emocionada también porque para esta ocasión, había preparado varios productos nuevos, como pines de fieltro, llaveros, collares y más gatitos de peluche. Tuve algunas ventas ese día y un señor me regaló unos saltamontes hechos de hojas secas que cuidé muy bien hasta que llegué a casa.

Para el día domingo, no me encontraba muy bien, ya que tenía un poco de malestar, mezclado con el cansancio del día anterior. Aún así, me las arreglé para mantener mi ánimo y no quedarme dormida jaja Las ventas estuvieron muchísimo mejor que el día anterior y recibí otro regalo: Una bolsita llena de hermosos botones que espero aprovechar para mis creaciones. También, una vez más, casi vendí todos mis gatitos de peluche ¡Tengo que hacer más para el siguiente bazar!

Tener la oportunidad, no sólo de crear, sino también de tener interacción con el público que se siente atraído por lo que hago, es una sensación maravillosa. Me da muchísima seguridad y me anima a continuar en mi emprendimiento. En el pasado, cuando le trabajaba a otras personas, siempre me imaginaba la reacción que tendrían las personas al comprar mis creaciones. Por lo que, poder verlo con mis propios ojos, es una ganancia que nosotros los artesanos, valoramos enormemente 💚
