Buenos días, buenas tardes o buenas noches, damas y caballeros.
Good morning, good afternoon or good evening, ladies and gentlemen. How are you? How are you feeling today? I hope you're very well. As you already know, during my disappearance I was watching and playing various things; in this case, I've come to talk to you about a visual novel that, honestly, I discovered in an unusual way. I think it was because it was mentioned as a game similar to Raging Loop, then I realised it was on the Play Store, but at the time I didn't pay it any attention until many months later, when I finally gave it a chance. As it is similar to the title I mentioned earlier, it obviously has the same dynamic; we're dealing with a game that bases its plot and way of playing on the legendary Werewolf or Mafia, although unlike the other one, in this one we will actually be part of the game, and we'll be able to win or lose depending on our performance. What it does, to my surprise, is that the video game doesn't actually have as much text as a conventional visual novel usually would have; in a way it has its own essence that makes it stand out, due to its focus on getting to know the characters presented to us and how they act during our play sessions. Then, what caught my attention most was that they had made an anime of it, but honestly that will be a topic for another occasion, so without further delay, let's talk about Gnosia.

In Gnosia we'll have to create our own character, to whom we'll assign a name and distribute their respective stats as if it were an RPG; these stats will be useful later on as we progress through the game, since they'll help us survive the debates that occur in the adventure. The thing is, we're woken up by a person called Setsu on a spaceship; it turns out there's someone infected by a virus inside the ship, and our objective is to discover who it is and expel them so we can win. If we get it wrong, the infected person will claim a victim during the night; winning is simple: discover the liar and avoid being eliminated. The thing is, depending on the final result of this round, you'll be granted something called the Silver Key (a living being that seeks information), which will trap you in a time loop until you fulfil the task of obtaining information from all the crew members of the ship. As the conditions of the time loop progress, new characters will appear, and thanks to that new events will be triggered; moreover, along the way mysteries will be revealed to us that we'll need to solve in order to learn the whole truth about the crew members. Alliances, betrayals, friends, enemies—will you be able to reach the world where the infected don't exist?

What we'll do most during the game is take part in the debates, where we'll vote for whoever seems most suspicious to us and where we'll try to defend ourselves in case we're accused. This is where the stats we'll raise as we level up come into play; depending on, for example, your charisma, you'll be able to easily convince the other people, if you raise your intuition too high you'll be able to detect other people's lies, and with evasion you'll be able to prevent them from accusing you or trying to kill you. As you play, you'll be able to develop your play style, making the debates in the assembly easier for you. Each character has a personalised AI that makes them act according to the parameters they have set; because of this, and the more you play, you'll be able to detect patterns in its behaviour that will help you know whether they're lying or telling the truth. Even though the debate dialogues are the same over and over again, this gives personality to each of the characters taking part in them. The only bad thing about the game is when you're already finishing it: if you don't know the parameters you need for an event necessary to unlock a piece of information, you'll end up playing loop after loop, which can become tiresome and maddening. But the best things of all, without a doubt, are the characters and the art direction. I loved the adventure from start to finish, the somewhat innovative gameplay, and the mysteries I solved as I played, so, with nothing more to say, I'll say goodbye for today.
