A few more cool historic houses here in New Bedford MA

Good morning, and have a great day

The photos I share in my posts here I also share on other social Media Sites, and on one of them my following has grown quite a bit. It was a pleasant surprise to see on the other day that I had over 1 million views in the past 28 days; I never could have imagined my photos would be seen that much.

One area of my photos that people are really enjoying is some of the historic houses here, and I get a lot of feedback about the properties, which is so interesting.

I also get suggestions of places I should swing by, check out and take photos of, and the houses I will share today are all ones people asked me to take photos of, often as they had either grown up there or it's one of their favorite houses in the city.

Starting with this house at 19 Irvine Street, which someone told me was their favorite one, and I must say it was pretty impressive, love all the cool details and fine craftmanship.

Looking it up it is the William J. Rotch Gothic Cottage is a historic cottage and was built in 1845

This next one is 37 Morgan Street it is a historic multi-family residential property located near the downtown area. Built in 1859, the 3-story building spans approximately 4,641 square feet and sits on a 0.14-acre lot with off-street parking

And not far from that is 45 Morgan Street, and I do not have any information on that one. and it needs some work, so I went for a monochrome edit for this one.

Next up we have 144 Hawthorn Street; it is a historic 1897 English/Colonial Revival home in the West End.

Built by author and flour magnate Henry Plummer, the 5,391-square-foot property features 7 bedrooms, 5.5+ baths, 8 fireplaces, and a 4-car garage on a half-acre double lot. It last sold for $1,070,000

And this last one is on the corner of Hawthorne and Ash Streets and apparently was built in 1888 and has 6,709 square feet of living space. Including 10 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

And that’s all folks
