Shops and restaurants around the area of New Bedford MA

Good morning, and have a great day

Today I will share a few photos of shops and restaurants in the area.

Most I have to admit I haven't been into, but from the outside I thought they looked cool enough to take a photo

Starting with the Rose House Salon, now I had a brainfade when I saw this and crossed the road to take this photo; I was thinking Saloon and not Salon :)

And next up, the National Club, which has an interesting history, from what I have read and from comments from locals here

For decades, the original National Club operated as a popular, old-school watering hole for local commercial fishermen. It was a relic of a bygone maritime era, known as a rough, steely, and gritty meeting place where crew members would head immediately after returning to port from long stretches at sea; it was a staple of the lower Union Street waterfront scene

And here we have the Black Whale down by the port; I myself haven't been in there, but my wife did once and was very impressed with the food and decor.

And this place I have been to for breakfast a couple of times, Tia Maria European cafe, and I must say the breakfast there is excellent

Now, I have visited this place many times in the area for sunrise walks, but I have never made it there yet when it's open, but it has good reviews and seems to do great business

  • Good day, Mr. @tattoodjay.

I love these photos of the shops; what catches my eye is the lighting and the beautiful colors.

    Lovely photographs.

Walking around town on Saturday afternoon to explore shops and restaurants is unquestionably the best way to discover a city’s true identity. Without a doubt, New Bedford is home to some of the most impressive historical architecture, which blends nicely with interesting retail shops.
