Thursday - Early fall colors in Buttonwood park and Oak Grove

Early fall colors in Buttonwood Park and Oak Grove

Good morning. I hope your week is going well

A couple of days ago, I had to pop out and run a couple of errands during the day, so I took my camera and made a couple of stops on my way. I had noticed some fall colors in the park, so I headed there and made one more stop at a local cemetery to catch some fall colors, and that's what I will share today.

Now I normally prepare posts a week in advance, but I'm slipping this one in today, so if you read in an upcoming post, me saying I never seem to have much luck catching the fall color. That's a part of why I took my camera with me the other day to make sure I got at least a few Fall color photos this year, and with luck maybe I have broken the voodoo that has hampered me getting fall photos the last few years and maybe I will get out and get more of them :)

Now, in this post I will share more photos than I usually do, but I decided why not share a bunch since the colors come and go so fast; share them while they're still here :)

Is it just me, or have the Fall colors started a lot earlier this year? I seem to remember they don't normally start until late October. Starting, I am looking over the Pond in Buttonwood

And another view looking over the pond, for this one I editing out all the greenery and gunk on the pond, trying to picture it as people have said it used to be so clean and fresh

Of course if I am by the pond I have to get a photo of the Island and tree on the pond

And this was an experiment I did I was taking photos across the pond in Buttonwood and decided to try one with some camera movement to get an abstract kind of look. Most times I try that, I am not happy with the result, but I quite like this one

  • Man there is nothing like the vibrant red of a maple in the fall! The one across the street from my curation chair is starting to get spicy and I might get a shot of it in full red in a week or so.

Signs of fall here too but I am heading north for the long weekend and hope to capture some REAL autumn colour to share.

  • Good morning, Mr. @tattoodjay

It is incredible how beautiful it gets there when autumn arrives; lovely photographs.

    Have a wonderful day.

I think we have already reached peak color here in Michigan. It usually turns out I am about a week behind the peak when I try to plan for our anniversary in a few weeks. Maybe we need to just start taking our trips earlier in the month!

    Hello, dear friend @tattoodjay.

Autumn is the best time of year for those of us who take photographs; we can enjoy very beautiful, colorful landscapes.

    Excellent shots.
